Dolphins, Jags, and Giants needed wins to keep their playoff hopes alive. All three trail by 24+ points in the first half.

Way to get up for the big game guys.

Yeah, Giants and Dolphins are especially shocking as they're at home against teams at or below their level.

This is keeping the Jets in contention so I am happy. I don't really think the Jets will beat both the Colts and Bengals so in the end it probably won't matter.

The Panthers just came out from half time and drove 71 yards in 4 or 5 plays to go up 31 points on the Giants. That's just pathetic.

You guys will beat the Bengals. The Bengals are truly nothing to write home about. When they can't run the ball, they are screwed, and you guys are great against the run.

If the Colts don't start everybody, you have a shot as well.

Miami is down 27-17 with just under 10 minutes left in that game.

Sad day for my Jags. Although I am happy with the season, after going 5-11 last year and this year blowing up the roster, the future looks bright.

Question is....where is the future going to be viewed from?

Seriously, ONE sell-out all year. Absolutely pathetic. That town doesnt deserve a franchise.

Add the NYJ and Denver to contention teams losing. Although both are playing better competition than the 3 earlier losers.

Now the Jets are winning after Curtis Painter's fumble. Yeah, I said Curtis Painter.

Not so fast my friend. If the current play that is under review stands the Jets will be up 16-15.

You are talking about the 10 win Bengals? Correct? Nothing to write home about huh. I guess sweeping a division that includes two potential wild cards doesn't mean as much as it used to.

"when they can't run the ball they are screwed" Well yeah, no kidding. Just like when the Ravens don't play defense they lose. Haha. Or when the Eagles can't throw, they are screwed.

I doubt the Bengals play their starters for more than a half. They clinched the division and have no chance at a bye. The Jets are going to get in.

Yeah the Bengals will be resting some players next week. Expect to see plenty of Larry Johnson and Bernard Scott

It would be sweet to see the Jets beat the Bengals in NY next week and then have them travel to Cincy for the Wild Card round.

It was a huge mistake for the NFL to put a team in Jacksonville in the first place. Look for them to be Los Angeles Jags in a few years.

First of all, I see manning is done and painter fumbles away the lead. Thats nice for the NYJ. They may have stayed in this game long enough to now win with Manning out. Second, Cincinnati will play all their regulars, the same reason NE will. #3 seed to avoid Indy as long as possible. Any team would rather be #3 than a #4. Since NE plays at the same time, it isnt like one game will be over before the other one starts.

The Texans are miles ahead of the Dolphins in talent, so you are way off base with that comment.

Miles ahead in talent? They won 27-20. 7 points does not make a mile.

No, but they have a ton more talent on that team than Miami. The only position I think Miami is stronger than is RB.

In fact, RB is the only position that a Dolphin could start in Houston.

Tons more talent? Maybe, but both teams were 7-7 entering the game. The Texans are a good team, but they lack a certain something. Put them against the Colts and you could start a good pool for people to pick the point in the game where they'll implode and blow a sizable lead. They just seem to be an implosion waiting to happen.

Actually the Bengals-Jets game got moved to 8:30 so yeah if the Patriots win in the early game expect almost no starters to be playing very much. And as far as the avoiding Indy comment, I dont know about that San Diego is the hottest team in the league right now. The Bengals just played them a couple weeks ago pretty tough and I would like to see them again but I dont think Indy is that much better than SD if any. Also I would much rather play the Jets in the opening round of the playoffs than the Ravens. Not that either are bad matchups but like it is always said "its hard to beat a team 3 times"

Either way I am just happy the Bengals made it and hopefully they can get a win in the playoffs under their belts and then go from there!

While this is true, the Dolphins took Houston's best punch and responded well. Houston pretty much folded once Miami started clicking. I'm not defending my Phins at all. A loss is a loss, but IMO a bad team gets down 27-0 and loses 45-0 a good team can claw back in it. This loss showed me something to be hopeful for in the coming years. 2 great drafts and some quality Upper Management has really turned Miami around.

As for your comment that the only position that Miami could start in Houston would be RB. Miami's back 4 on defense are as good (and I'll say their much better) than anyone Houston fields with the exception of Robinson.

I said before the season that Miami was a 6-10 team and I'm pretty close (assuming they lose to Pittsburgh sunday). The thing that dissapoints me most in the Dolphins is the fact that they can't seem to put a whole game together.
They got down 27-0 to the Texans then came back to make it a game then lost.
They got down 24-6 to the Titans then came back to force OT and then lost.
They got down 14-0 to the Pats then came back to win.
They were leading the Bills 14-7, then gave up 24 pts in the 4th to lose.
They were leading the Panthers 14-3 in the fourth and won a shoutout 24-17.
They got up 19-6 on Tampa then let them come back and make it a 2 pt finish.
They got up 24-10 on the Saints then got the doors blown off in the 2nd half.
They got down 19-0 against the Falcons then went on to lose.

This team is not good enough to take a quarter off and their record shows it.

Yes, moving the game to 8:30 probably helped the NYJ a great deal. If NE were to lose, maybe Cinci plays veterans longer. The real winner seems to be the NYJ. The league doing something to enhance a NY teams chances? No way. LOL
