So, through offseason trades I have 1st overall pick, 3 picks in the 2nd round (6, 7, and 9th pick in the 2nd round), then my draft picks are normal from there.
Our league has been going on for almost 10 years now, keeping any 3 people you want every year (this is switching to 4 keepers after this season).
My keepers:
Ray Rice
Jimmy Graham
Roddy White
it's a 12 team league, so you have to think that basically the first 36 players are off the board, for the most part.
With 1st overall, I want to take a runningback since I won't have a pick again for 17 picks, after which I'll basically have 3 picks in a row.
My plan is RB in the 1st
WR, WR, QB in the 2nd, which would mean my starting lineup is then complete, while everyone else will still be only at 5 players.
Do you take:
Lamar Miller
Demarco Murray (I think he is going to be available)
Le'Veon Bell
Montee Ball
someone else?
Whoever it is will more than likely be a keeper next season since we are keeping 4....I'm leaning towards Lamar.
Thoughts?

Thoughts are those are some shitty players to pick with first overall. Can you trade the pick?

If he is focused on a RB, I can guarantee all the top tier and even lower tier starters will be already accounted for. I agree to dig a little deeper to find someone you may have missed.Raw Dawgin' it;1483388 wrote:Thoughts are those are some ****ty players to pick with first overall. Can you trade the pick?
But if you are throwing rookies out there, I'd include Lacy from Bama in the GB offense.

Not planning on it....I could but likely won't.Raw Dawgin' it;1483388 wrote:Thoughts are those are some shitty players to pick with first overall. Can you trade the pick?
Lamar is going in the 3rd or 4th round in PPR mock drafts, so that is about the right spot for him.
Generally the top 12-15 WR's are kept, the top 15-20 RBs will be gone, the top 4QBs at least will be gone, so that's what we are left with in what is basically the 4th round of a standard draft.

Yeah, I've already mapped out the teams in the league and it's pretty easy to see who is going to be kept...It will be slim picking.Dan Gilbert;1483391 wrote:If he is focused on a RB, I can guarantee all the top tier and even lower tier starters will be already accounted for.
