Anyone watching Bear Grylls new show?

The "show" is mediocre, even by "Survivor" standards. Still, it's as visually spectacular as any of these shows (which is the main reason I watch Man vs. Wild, Survivorman, etc..).

The cool thing is they have a pretty good cross-section of age & fitness.

Like I said, the concept is kind of mediocre, but it's one of the first shows that I think would be fantastic to go on.

I watch the show. I enjoy it. I would love to go on the show, the places they go look amazing.

Yeah, and it seems like the challenges are not remotely stacked toward fitness. A couple where they had to build something over half the teams were complete failures.

Barring a miracle the black couple has to go next. I think it will come down to the straight best friends vs the gay best friends. With nerdy kid and dad a possibility.

I can't believe the whiny mom and her bitchy daughter are still around. I figure them, plus the black couple, are there for drama.

I wouldn't count out the black couple - I think Bear likes their spirit and determination (even if it's not what he pretends it is) and that's a big part of it. They really seem to be stressing brains and perseverance over physical fitness.

I think the nerd and his dad will win because that's the "feel good" script. Remember, who goes and who wins is entirely Bear's discretion. This is a "contest" almost completely out of the participants control.

And it's bizarre how they have to lug around a bag of fake money representing the prize. You just know someone is going to lose that at some point, or LMAO Bear will make them burn it at some point to survive the night.
