Heading to Nashville for a long weekend and leaving on Wednesday. Anything that is a must see or must do while we are there? Any good restaurant recommendations?

There's nothing in Nashville except a junkyard. I always hated driving through it because the speed limit drops from 55 to 45, making it a speed trap.

Had some real good food at Savarino's Cucina.

Monells in germantown. Been there twice for the weekend breakfast.

Just walking down Broadway at night is fun! Checking out the different honky tonks and I cant remember the name of the restaurant, but it had 3 flying pink pigs as a sign, the flying pig maybe was good.

The Aquarium Restaurant in the Opryland Mall is a bit expensive but it's pretty damn cool inside and they have really good food. Didn't go but heard great things about The Patterson House and The Catbird Seat for eating as well. The Hermitage is nice(where Andy Jackson lived) and if you can score a ticket to the Grand Ole Opry do it. I really loved that city honestly

The one thing you must do is the backstage tour of the Ryman Auditorium, it'll give you chills if you're really a country music fan.

As far as restaurants go, there are a lot of good ones. My favorites are Arnold's(cheap and delicious, was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives), Burger Up, Puckett's Grocery and Restuarant, Big River Grille(right on lower Broadway), Savarino Cucina, Pie in the Sky(kinda expensive), Martin's BBQ Joint(Redneck Tacos are delicious).

The Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Mills Mall are in the same place, a little outside of downtown.

As far as the Honky Tonks, the one that is a must is Tootsies. That's where all the big time artists will stop by if they are downtown. Other good ones are Legends, Second Fiddle, The Stage, Swingin' Door Saloon, Tequila Cowboy, and Honky Tonk Central. Don't know if you've ever been to a Big Bang Piano Bar, but the Nashville one is amazing. Make sure you find the Broadway Rapper if you're downtown at night, he's extremely talented. Finish your night off with a hot dog called "The Cookout" from Dough Joe's hot dog stand!

Puckett's Grovery in Franklin is good for lunch.

I would highly recomment both the Grand Ole Opry and an evening at the Bluebird Cafe for music, along with the honky tonks on Broadway.

No need to go to Puckett's in Franklin, there's one right downtown in Nashville.

My two favorite places to eat in Nashville are goodness gracious ( a great breakfast joint just outside the city) and Princes hot chicken (make sure to order the mild cus it's gonna be hot and the pies are the best I've ever had)

Prince's is famous - and very hot. In west end there is always Pancake Pantry, although it is usually packed on weekends. Loveless is ok, but it is a bit of a drive (maybe 20 minutes).
