Don't ask me how, but somehow I stumbled upon a whole bunch of iTunes TV Shows (Dexter, The Office, It's Always Sunny, etc.), iTunes Movies (Hurtlocker, etc.) and iTunes Music on my company's internal server. Basically, I was searching for "large files" on what I thought was limited to my C: drive, but ended up finding large files (like TV Shows and Movies) in other Network Locations. [Sorry... no home videos -- that I can tell.]

I tried playing the TV Shows and Movies using Windows Media Player (they're MP4 Video types), but was unable. I then tried QuickTime player, and that didn't work either. I then tried using iTunes, and I discovered the Apple ID account email address (didn't recognize the email address) that the files belonged to.

Anyway, I was wondering, if it's possible to add the files to my iTunes Apple ID? NOTE: I'm not trying to screw over the other person (i.e., I don't want them to not be able to access/play their files); I was just wondering if it's possible to copy them & add them to my account?

I don't think this is possible. When I tried to combine music my wife had bought on itunes to my itunes it would ask me for her password whenever I tried to play the song.

Yep. That's exactly what I'm getting to. It's essentially asking me for this person's password (which obviously I don't know). I was just curious if there was a way of "breaking" that relationship and "adding" it to my Apple ID. I'm sure it can be done, but maybe not in an "easy" / "user-friendly" way.

It allows me and my fiancé to share an iTunes library since we both registered our iPhones on the same computer

No, this is how DRM works and why iTunes is a piece of shit.

Speaking of iTunes, I ended up winning some giftcard. Only $10, but need some ideas on what to spend it on. Dont want to spend it on movies and music when I can get those for free.

Yeah, after looking at some prices for movies/tv shows, Ill probably just use it to upgrade some stuff like tweetcaster. Not even sure what else i would use it on lol
