Right now it hasn't been a complete train wreck. If he has a mediocre or terrible season and he continues to show up in the press for the wrong reasons then I can see it being a factor.

Not sure who that is, but Manziel looks the same age as Peyton Manning, who is 16 years older.

Being asked to leave the Manning camp for whatever reason reflects poorly on the kid. As he's reminded us, he's under a spotlight. Well if he doesn't like it, he should have pursued success on the pistol team as opposed to the football team.

Loved his quotes regarding Manning incident:
Just overslept. . . I made a mistake and didn't wake up on time when I should have. That's pretty much the end of that. I've been very eager to get a chance to share my side of the story. The main thing was I missed a meeting. It wasn't anything due to the night prior. It wasn't anything involved in that. It was simply phone died, overslept, woke up the next morning -- whenever I did -- went and talked to them and it was kind of a mutual decision to get home and try to get some time to relax."

He later went on to say:

I absolutely owned up to that. It's my fault and there's no excuse for my phone not being on and there's no excuse for not waking up. I take responsibility for that.

First he was sick.

Then according to his daddy he was dehydrated.

Now he was just sleepy and his phone was dead.

Pathetic, if you're going to claim to "owning up to it." You better own up to it and be honest and stop trying to pass off lame lies that everyone can see through.

Watching him now on ESPN's ESPY's Countdown...he's definitely not right. He thinks what happened at the Manning Camp was no big deal and shows no regret whatsoever--he honestly believes he's done nothing wrong. One thing's for certain: he will NOT win the Heisman this year.

I can't believe the amount of coverage this is getting. It's absurd.

More fail by ESPN and the media in general.

Joe Schad ‏@schadjoe 2m At least one morning, Alabama QB AJ McCarron did unsuccessfully attempt to wake Johnny Manziel at the Manning Camp

I actually approve of ESPN's ridiculous coverage of this since Manziel is such a joke. It's unreal that this kid continues to act like this, I have a prediction things are going to fall apart dreadfully for him. He's like a rich version of MoC

Who is still eating this shit up? I don't know a single person who is still interested in his off the field stories. I just want to see how he does during the season.

I agree. All it's doing is perpetuating his idiocy, which bodes well for all the other Heisman hopefuls out there (Miller in particular).

Miller or Manziel. Who would you choose? Also, is it a problem that I link my blog on here? If so, I'll never do it again.
Just talk to Justin. I know in the past he was open to the idea of reciprocal links on sites (you link his, he'll link yours), but he generally doesn't look fondly upon free advertisement as advertisement is the source of any revenue he gets from this place.

Fair enough. I eventually am going to post about the sheep league on the blog though, and hopefully that will bring traffic here. I also would never try to take traffic away from the OC as it is far an away my favorite website!

It's not so much about a fear of traffic being taken away, but rather it's harder to sell advertisement spots if people are allowed to advertise for free. And it's not like it is a money grab for him either as advertisement money does go towards the servers/maintenance of the site.

Also, with regard to your blog, the general format of it made it a but bothersome to read. I know that's a little vague, but I'm not quite sure what it was, but in general it felt onerous.

What do you suggest I fix? And I see what you're saying. I will make sure I bring more people from there here, than vice versa.

I honestly think Manziel is handling all of this fairly well. He hasn't got into any serious run ins with the law or anything. Just some childish stuff. He's what, 19 or 20? If I had his fame, talent and everything he has access to when I was that age....boy, it would have been ugly. I would have made the Tiger Woods pornstar texts look tame.
