I need a good Sweet Pickle recipe.
This is my first year of planting Pickling cucumbers and the crop is coming ready. In two weeks I should have about 6 to 8 quarts to be pickled

Second note: I've canned Hot Hungarian peppers but the recipe just not good. I like the Peppers to be (not dill type pickled) but a simple mild range pepper. Anyone have a good recipe for canning hot peppers?

Our recipe usually starts with 3 cups vinegar 1.5 cup water. 1/3 cup salt 1 1/2 cup sugar(you can adjust this to how sweet you like it) 1/4 tsp pepper corns 1-2 bay leafs two garlic cloves crushed thyme stalk 1/4 tsp coriander seeds 1/4 tsp mustard seed a little bit of fennel seed 1/8 tsp is all we use of it 1/8 celery seed. That is all that we use. You can add stuff for your taste. The sugar is up to your taste and can be adjusted to your liking. I have also put hot peppers in with them to give them a little bit of a bite.

When we pickle peppers its 2 cups vinegar 1c water 1/2 c salt 1/2 cup sugar dill seeds bay leaves pepper corns coriander seeds fennel seeds I am not sure of the proportions but I would guess its all 1/8 teaspoons maybe 1/4. heat it all up and let everything steep for a few and pour over your peppers.
