Just giving everyone a heads up...

Some good apps have gone free today to celebrate Apple's App Store's 5 year anniversary.

I dropped $5 on the Traktor iPhone app and I believe it was $20 for iPad. Really fun app.

I'm not sure. I was told about it yesterday and they are still goin today.

This is bad for me. I recently vowed to lessen my iPhone gaming.

I didn't see these on the 5 year anniversary page. I am taking it you have to do some research on your own to find the other hidden free gems?

My coworker is an Apple nerd, he just emailed me those additions. I'm not sure where he found them.

In the category of painfully stupid questions, are all of these things just for iPhones and iPads, or would they work on an actual Mac computer? Since I have the latter and not the former and getting locked out of free stuff makes me sad.

And I know I've downloaded apps from their store for my computer like .rar file expanders and shit like that.

I doubt it, but I'm not sure.

I've never messed with games for my Macbook via the iTunes store.

Why don't you try downloading it on your MAC. STUPID FUCKING QUESTION!

I'm not home right now and I somehow don't think the company would be cool with me using their computer as my test subject. Making it so I'd rather ETB my way through this instead of wasting my time on something that won't work when I get home.

Oh in that case, I doubt it. Seems like the apps available are only for the iPhone or iPad.

Ah, never mind, answered my own question. Mac apps for Mac have a different OS than iPhone/Pad etc. apps and they're not all compatible together.

I will now cease disrupting this thread and spend the rest of my afternoon searching the Mac App store for free games. And hope some are more recent than Pathways Into Darkness, which I think is like Doom-age or something.
