Then, if they win, host a series against their first round opponent, which will likely be Atlanta (barring the Central gets 3 playoff teams and the Reds don't win the division).
It could potentially be...
9/29 vs PIT (last regular season game)
9/30 vs SFG (7/4 make-up game)
10/1 at PIT or STL (or whoever the other WC team is)
10/3 vs ATL (whoever their first round opponent is, likely ATL if the Central gets 3 playoff teams)
Luckily that last regular season game is at home, otherwise you're talking 4 games in 4 locations in 5 days.
Will be interesting how this turns out. Dont expect the players union, or the teams, to agree to play on that off day that both teams have in common as it would make it 32+ in a row for both teams.
If they need to play this for any reason it will be interesting how they play it out, whom is in contention, etc.
Just our luck the reds will need to win and be in and have to throw their best in that game and be without him for the first few games of the first round.
I am not so sure the reds will even make it to the post season. As of this moment, and it can change quickly, I am not scheduled to be incognito at all this fall. The last two times the reds were in the postseason I missed it and couldnt read, listen or watch to a single game.
So either they wont make it...or they will and I will be home to be able to watch it and bring them good luck...
