The Direct Connect was great proprietary technology in it's day.
Too bad the Nextel connection quality sucked.

I loved their Direct Connect. Used it from about 1999 until 2010. The Wife's last dumb phone was the Nextel i1000 plus. A lethel weapon if thrown.

They haven't shut that off yet? Shit, it seems like 5 years ago they were telling people they had to upgrade to a CDMA phone when they came into Sprint stores because the iDEN network was getting turned off.
