I knew they were talking about it, just hadn't seen anything official.

They did, however, add Chris Kaman today. And Lamar Odom wants to retire a Laker. So he might be coming back also.

Dumb.

2013-2014 was the final year of his deal, thus your post is dumb.

Cavs offered Bynum 2 years 24 mill. Probably a team option next year. Told Bynum they want a quick decision or they are moving on

If Gilbert wants to spend his money, thats on him. Doesnt bother me as long as its not a dumb contract. Low risk/high reward.

12 million seems like a lot for a guy to have big hair and in dress clothes sitting on your bench

How would you suggest spending the money, then? Its essentially 1 year tryout. If it doesnt workout, release him and you still have the cap space for next summer's monster FA class. Its better than just having the money sit there, or take on expiring contracts. The tank is over.

FWIW, the Cavs examined Bynum's knee(s).

Except if he is healthy, you have a monster who will get 20/20 and make it look easy

And if he's not, it was a waste of a billionaires 12 million dollars and he's not on the team anymore after the year. Seems logical to offer that.

Would be a great move
