justincredible has reported a post.

Reason:
So I logged in to his account to see if I could find these PMs (/NSA'd) and it appears he is trying to start up a 2 week boycott of the site to protest to "cripple the OC" as he puts it. I lol'd.

That I don't think what I'm doing with regards to the rules is outside of the context of the rules, but if you other mods think it is than I am most likely overstepping my bounds. I'm only a moderator as I intend to help the site. But if I'm actually hurting it I can stop enforcing the personal attack/trolling rules all together and only take care of unapproving spam posts and banning spam accounts (something that I know I do when I see them, I'm know other mods do as well when you look at the banned users list). But obviously your post takes it a step further and the complete removal of my moderator abilities.

Now in response to your post:

What is it that makes you think my moderation is affecting the attraction of new members? I generally have no interaction with someone in my moderator capacity unless they break the rules, this doesn't particiularly affect new members unless they break the rules, and we always give PM warning first to any first time violators. So I don't see how this would be a bad thing necessarily. I will occasionally do some other stuff like edit someone's post if they are having trouble linking a picture or changing a thread title upon request or deleting a thread upon request.

The only other way my moderation can have an effect on new members is if they see all of the complaining from a few individuals (i.e. the people who have broken the rules, often repeatedly) as so distinguished in this thread. Now is it really my moderation that is having the negative effect or the complaining? I think this thread demonstrates that it might be more of the complaining.

Secondly with retaining the guys we originally had. There is this idea that has been repeated by posters in private messages, in reported posts and also by a moderator time to time. And you even see that complaint in this thread from someone like TrueBlue. Basically people grow tired of seeing the same negative posts all the time from certain individuals constantly and will stop posting for a long period of time. And to further expand upon this I'm going to just copy and paste a post I had in the moderator forum discussing this topic. I know we never post anything from there, but these are my own words and no one else is implicated in saying anything by this response so I feel okay sharing it as I think this is a sentiment that many reasonable posters share (of course some might disagree as well, such as yourself and I would consider you reasonable).
lol, that is funny, because I get pms from mods saying that you are going out of your way to "punish" us even though you are petty. Thanks for confirming what I have been saying this whole time. You are a mod with an agenda. That post confirms it.

Probably, I know I've PM'ed him. Nothing that could be used in the shit he's talking about though, so he might not have kept him.

I know I've told him that in some cases, I do think Fly can be over the top, but him and CoA's constant being an asshole to him doesn't help anything. Pointed out that he can't even make a post without those two chiming in about something.

To be fair, they are known for exaggerating or changing facts to justify their positions. Like I said, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find that moderators disagree with me time to time. I'd honestly be surprised if people didn't. I don't particularly care to know who would have said the things that were PM'd to Like_That or CoA if those are indeed true statements not out of context. I would just like if people were open about disagreements here.

I know O-trap has asked questions about why I have taken an action and I've explained my line of thinking to him.

I know I have asked LJ about something he's done and he's explained his line of thinking to me, initially I was unsure of his action but after his explanation it seemed like the right move.

I just think having an open discussion is the best for helping to move forward.

Even Mcburg repped one of my posts in that thread and said:
Your not going to win man. assholes will always be assholes. Likethat coa are the worst and that is half the reason I dont post anymore.

There are plenty of people who quit posting due to their antics. I'm not claiming that Mcburg is a model poster by any means. But we've had posts like this from moderators. We've heard this from respected posters. I really don't think there is a question on what is driving people away.
