Justin I think you should just ban them and move on. This shit is getting old. They are a bunch of fucking babies who are trying to compensate for something in their lives by acting like hardasses on here. Just ban them and let them go get banned somewhere else

And I understand the general hesitancy to ban around here, but when it comes to these assholes I don't get it.

When it comes to a vocal minority ruining the place, I think it's an exception to the rule.

I am definitely getting close to getting rid of them. Unfortunately I think it would cause other folks, and not necessarily anyone that ever causes any problems, to leave as well.

I started a poll to see what the community views as worse, Fly's moderation or their incessant whining about it.

By the way, don't vote on the poll.

At the very least they should never be allowed out of the basement (and no good behavior provisions, as they have been like this and ignoring any other discipline for 3 years)

That way they can spew their shit, the few innocent posters who get a kick out of it can still be entertained, and everyone else can avoid it and not have their shit ruin every non basement thread

I honestly don't enjoy this place anymore. I keep trying to, but unfortunately we have such a core group of bad posters they just make the place unenjoyable

I think this is a sentiment that's repeated by numerous people. I went through this phase and stopped posting for a period of time because of CoA, Like_That, and that small group. Eventually I started posting again and just either ignoring those clowns or treating them like they joke they are. But they definitely don't make this place enjoyable in my opinion. They're always trying to be negative. When they have an issue with someone they manage to bring it to every thread.

When normal people don't like a poster or have an issue with a poster they either just let it go, or argue about it in relevant threads, but they don't bring it up in every single thread. I think that's the main difference. LJ and I have certainly had our differences in the past, but you don't see us constantly going at each other all the time. We realize that we disagree with each other, but we still know that it would be childish and unproductive to constantly troll each other.

Those guys when they have an issue with someone don't let up... they just keep digging and picking at the issue until we (mods) finally do something about it. And if nothing is done, they will go at it forever. For example, even just yesterday they managed to bring up jordo in a thread that he hadn't posted on, he hadn't posted here in a long time, but they still managed to bring up his name, call him turdo and laugh about him and just generally slam him. I'm not saying that jordo never posted stuff that could be qualified as trolling. The point is that they don't stop... ever. They don't know how to let go of things.

It really doesn't matter what I say. They will jump on me for anything. I even said to hasbeen "enjoy the nice weather" and then sportandlady started jumping on me that I was being stupid for assuming he lives in ohio. I pointed out his location says OHio. Then sportandlady said he could be lying or on vacation. Then I point out it would be ridiculous to assume someone is lying or going to go play softball while on vacation despite the apparent horrible weather.

That's just an example of how something so simple as me saying a friendly nothing is an opportunity for them to try to jump on me.

It's nice to read that thread and see what normal reasonable posters say. I don't mind that they think I might make a mistake or they disagree with me from time to time such as MB said. I've never claimed to be perfect. But I find it amusing that a lot of different people are pointing out that the problem probably isn't me, but the fact that they always seem to be the only people breaking the rules repeatedly and their behavior wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else.

I don't think I've seen Boatshoes or Con_Alma post in the basement before, this could get interesting.

So, LT and/or CoA are saying that unnamed (of course) mods are telling them you go out of your way to infract them. Are they basically talking about former mod Wildcats, since he's the guy who blew up and quit because he didn't want them modded? Or just making up shit?
