Come on Reds, we need this rubber game.

Domo arigato Mr Votto

*Edit*

As the astute Mr wildcats pointed out i failed. Four game series. We still need this one though. Swore they said on the radio last night tomorrow was a rubber game. What happens when marty is on Vacation.

It's ok....maybe the mistake will lead to a winning streak....doubt it though.

The Pirates look better.

If Choo gets hit again and doesn't charge the mound with the bat ready to beat down the pitcher im going to be disappointed. I don't care if its a 40mph eephus pitch. Reds win 11-0.

The annoying thing is that it seems like no matter what, both the Pirates and Reds are sticking together about 3-4 games behind the Cards. Seems like the standings have been virtually the same in the division for the last 3 weeks to where I can pretty much guess that the Pirates are either 3 or 4 games behind, depending on whether they won or lost their last game.

In short, both teams need to stop beaning each other, join together and collectively bean every single player and fan in St. Louis.

While true, all this means is the Reds and Pirates are destined to be playing a 1-game playoff to determine who faces the Braves in the NLDS.

I'll take those odds...

I wish this were possible but I think La Russa would just ask his new BFF Justin to meet with the Reds and beg them to be nice otherwise the Cards wont be able to explain to their children why they are all getting hit.

I prefer he go out there and go all Jet Li on his ass.

But I'd rather Dusty Baker go argue a call and get tossed.

But if Dusty got tossed how would the team survive? Nobody can make the awesome in game decisions like him! Im patiently waiting to see Manny Parra enter the game tonight when its tied 3-3 with 2 on and no outs in the 8th.

Getting tossed has it's place 2-3 times a year.

Sure is. The Reds beat up on bad pitching. They struggle to score against good pitchers/teams. It's not that hard to see. It's why I hate the idiots who look at our record and say "this team's fine" they're one and done in the playoffs

There's got to be something we can do. Cozart is not good. His OBP isn't even 30 points above his average. lol And his average is freakin in the .240's.

The Reds have a depleted system from what it was 2-3 years ago. While a SS upgrade would be great, they can afford to keep Cozart if he hits 7th.

There are other places they need to upgrade. Specifically, they NEED another lefty-handed reliever. They NEED another right-handed bat, regardless of what position that is.

Cozart's performance is magnified because his backup is THE WORST player on the team. It would be different if you had 2 average (or slightly below average) SS's to platoon...
