Here's a great read that will make you think about your fond childhood memories of different toys/games.

Good read. I bought my nieces and nephew some Jacks at Bass Pro last week, and they love them.

I generally read Rem's material. He writes about random life experiences and trips he goes on, some good articles, some bad. He had a good article during football season about spending a day in the NFL RedZone broadcasting studio.

What did I leave out? It's part of a larger museum which will also fail?
Museum of Play.....OK.

Hopefully it stays open I just don't see the interest.

Well your comment about it being full "retarded dorky people" indicates you didn't read it as it was mostly full of kids and their parents.

Also, it seems like a place that would probably draw similar types of crowds as a Cosi or other kids attraction.

COSI was a real let down last time visitied. I liked the old location better....
Pretty sure COSI is part of a larger group of museums, which includs Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.

I did not look up if the toy HOF-play museum is part of a larger group.

The parents are the retarded dorks taking their kids to see old toys.

Their about page on the website:

http://www.toyhalloffame.org/about

Looks like it's been around since 1998, so it's lasted decently long. And the article made it seem as business is still thriving.

And just a little reading suggests that it's not just a exhibit of old toys behind glass, which would be boring to kids. But it is a lot more interactive and similar set up to COSI, but less science based.

I would hate to be a child in this time, especially a boy. You can't do any of the traditional male things growing up anymore, getting suspended and having the cops show up at your house for playing cops and robbers and pretend shooting people. Glad I'm not having kids.
