Right, plus he was supposedly pinned down MMA style (which doesn't mean he couldn't throw punches, but his arms could have been pinned). But the more interesting question might be why would he have no abrasions? Obviously his face and skull took a beating, so hard to believe he doesn't get his hands scuffed up somehow.

Also, maybe TM simply jumped him. I don't believe you're prevented from defending yourself with a gun just because the other guy doesn't have one, assuming TM was the aggressor.

Plus, it's simply stupid to say if someone jumps you that you have to first try to defend yourself with your fists. The whole point of a gun for self-defense is people can't or don't want to fight. A guy smaller than you could be just as capable of beating you senseless as a 350lb offensive tackle, and no one would make the asinine claim you have to first try to defend yourself with your fists against someone twice your size.

Defense requesting charges be thrown out. I'd agree the state didn't come close to proving its case, but I seriously doubt this judge won't send this to the jury.

if trayvon actually did reach for zimmerman's gun like he said, that is grounds for him to use deadly force whether or not he even gets to the gun.

LMAO are you serious? TM had abrasions to his knuckles. As in scraped on concrete while attacking Zman. Have you heard the 911 call? He didn't just 'go right to his gun'. There was yelling/fighting long enough to say Zman was trying to defend himself while being attacked, then when TM said 'you're gonna die mother fucker' he was able to grab his gun before TM did.
