I'd think $40.00 isn't bad if guaranteed at least three matches.
I'd be irked if paid $40.00 and had one person in my weight...

You can always show up and see who we have to wrestle you. The $40 pays for the rental of the space, referee, and you get a free shirt. this isn't you open high school tournament.

said... nothing against you but there is no guarantee for three matches (hopefully you will get more if you wrestle said).
CbusWrestlingClub, Weight classes??? If this isn't a basic open tournament (even high school), why the high entry fee? Any high profile wrestlers entered yet?
A little more info please......

That was my question as well. Dont all high school tournaments have to do the same thing? Heck, the state fair is only 30.00 and includes the shirt. But who am I to gripe? I have never run a tournament so I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to hold it. Hopefully ill be able to make it out and get some rolling in.hang_loose;1457039 wrote:said... nothing against you but there is no guarantee for three matches (hopefully you will get more if you wrestle said).

I can not guarantee anything. this is the first year we are doing this so I don't know what to expect. Weight classes as of right now will be determined on site. This is recreational guys who love the sport and guys who want to learn. if your expecting big names I don't know what to tell you. We are apart of an international group called wrestlers without boarders with clubs in San Fran, Denver , San Diego, Philly, London, Paris, New York, Southern Cal, and Australia. We are the newest club. Right now I don't know if any are coming in from those clubs. if you don't want to enter the tournament you are more than welcome to come to one of our practices for free at Dodge Rec Center the same site of the tournament. If you have any questions please feel free to email me [email protected]. The high fee is for cost of the gym, the official, and the shirt. Like I said this is our first year doing this and most likely this tournament will be at loss for us. not because of the numbers but cause of what has been put into renting the gym and the official. Sorry if we are trying to recuperate some of the money we have put into the tournament. but either way I hope you come and check us out even if you just watch. No admission fee!
