Honestly don't like the movie. Aside from the leg lamp thing, which was funny.

I will watch it tomorrow will probably turn on the bowl game tonight and clean up the house a bit so I don't have to do it in the morning before people start coming over.

Agreed. I don't get why this is such a beloved holiday classic.

The Chinese restaurant scene at the end with the singing waiters kills me every time...

"Ra ra ra ra ra, ra ra, ra ra...."

"Sing something else!" :)

Yep-- the sink that magically grows a cupboard underneath it midway through the film-- it is open at the beginning and the has teh cupboard later (Maybe the Parkers had remodeling done very, very quickly?)
Also, you can see the trampoline at the end of the scene where Ralphie and Ole Blue shoot four bad guys with three shots.

Also watch how the leg lamp seems to move itself when dad is across the street.

Done on the cheap, but still a classic. OH FUDGE!~

Jean Shepard had been quoted many times as saying many of the inconsistencies were done on purpose to create the whole "childhood memories from around 1940". It's in the DVD commentary.
