That is hideous. But to answer your question, yes it is a fad. It's called ombre, and it's typically a little more subtle. It can look good on the right person with the right colors.



Personally, I can get this look for free when I let my white trash roots grow out after having it dyed. It has been known to happen.

I think it can look good if the girl does it right, but the above is more an example of the King's Invisible Clothes. No matter how many friends tell her it looks good, it does not. At all.

It can look really great if a professional stylist does it....but if it's a home job or done by someone without proper training it will be a train wreck.

I think it's completely stupid. That second pic posted above is NOT the two tone "fad" look these girls are doing. That second pic above is more of what you would call highlights.

This is what the new fad is....with the two tones and it's stupid.

You're wrong. The second pic is ombre and it is the current trend. It is darker on top and gets lighter toward the ends.

The picture you posted is obviously two tone, but girls have been doing that for years.

Again, that second picture posted above in this link is a very toned down ombre, more highlighted look. Call it what you like, it's still U-G-L-Y.

I hang with a girl who has this...it's ok.

But blonde up top, black underneath...that shit is turrible. :thumbdown:

The ones that are "stoopid" are the ones where you have a stark contrast dividing line....There is nothing artistic or attractive where it looks like half your head was dipped into one dye and the other half in another.
