At least earlier than usual. My mom had a minor medical procedure today (the colon scoping deal), so I was her driver. It was a morning appointment, so I had to wake up early to drive over to her house to go to the hospital.
Because it was an early morning, I set the alarm. And then woke up 1.5 hours early and couldn't get back to sleep. At the hospital, it (obviously) took forever for the actual doctor to come (followed by 45-60 minutes for the procedure) and I forgot a book, so I had little choice but to watch Sportscenter over and over. Where they spent 25 or so minutes of each hour talking about a #7 seed in their conference in the NBA playoffs, giving very little time to anything else.
I mean, the rest of my day's been solid, but the early portions sucked. The whole waking up super early thing just had me in a half-day funk or something like that, I think.

Still better than being up all night. Normally working 3rd shift is for stupid people.

I haven't had much of a choice. Working 3rd is the norm for new employees in the medical field. But I would honestly take this over waking up at 5AM. I did that for several years and always felt like garbage. But I wouldn't want to work third shift forever.

Well, the fact there weren't any hot chicks at the hospital also was a bummer. Too much down time, nothing to do, blah.skank;1428494 wrote:And?
