I don't get your bashing of the East, continually saying it's bad. The top 4 in the East is better than the top 4 in the West. The West may have a little more depth on the bottom half of the conference.

Oh good point, I dont have cable so I was thinking getting them so I could watch. Hmm that sucks, I think they'll be a very entertaining team this year.

Yeah for sure.

League Pass is awesome though. I haven't decided if I'm going to do it this year, probably will though. It's nice for the teams that aren't on TV a lot.

lol I disagree with this. I think It's the Heat then the next 4 or 5 teams in the west then either Pacers or Bulls then not another east team.

Indy and Chicago are as good as any team in the West, you're severely underrating them imo. All of this is opinion based of course though. Trailblazers over the Nets and Knicks? No way man. Trailblazers probably won't even make the playoffs.

I dont think the Knicks will be good this year. Not a believer in their team at all. I wouldn't be shocked if they were the 8th seed or missed the playoffs entirely.

Nets I think they're a decent team, but I bet they get bounced first roudn of playoffs. I would take any of the 10 teams over them in a series.

I agree on Indy/Chicago, but I think all 7 teams above them are better. You think Indy/Bulsl would beat Memphis/OKC/Spurs?

I thin k the Bulls or Indy would beat OKC and Memphis in a 7 game series and they would give the Spurs all they could handle although I slightly favor the Spurs. The Knicks are basically the same team from last year although they added Bargnani, I can't see them struggling to make the playoffs. I think you are severely underrating Brooklyn, granted we haven't had the chance to see them on the floor for long stretches yet but DWill, JJ, Pierce, Garnett, Brook Lopez with Kirilenko, JTerry, Blatche and Reggie Evans off the bench is a 55-60 win team in my estimation. I could see second round exit but with the leadership they have added and veteran presence no way do I see a first round outing barring injury. Dwill, JJJ, Lopez can't guard anyone. All 3 shoot a poor percentage and are chuckers. Bleh not a fan. Their 2 best players are 35 yrs old, doubt Garnett stays healthy and PP playing on a new team eh not a big believer. Kerilenko is solid off the bench, the other 2 are trash. Terry and Blatche suck. Yeah I dont like a single player on their team other than AK47, but he's a bench guy. They'll win some reg seasons games because they're playing the east, but they're not good. If the Cavs make the playoffs and were playing the Nets, I'd pick the Cavs to win that one.

Not sure how you come up with them shooting a poor percentage, Dwill shoots 45% as a PG and is an average defender, not poor. Joe Johnson takes 15 shots a game and shoots 45%, not a horrible defender either. Brook Lopez shot 52% last year and blocked over 2 shots a game, rebounding, not defense is his deficiency. Jason and Terry and Blatche suck? What are you watching? Pierce and Garnett are not their best players, DWill and Lopez are, but Pierce and Garnett will bring experience and toughness along with leadership. I like the Cavs but they're not beating the Nets. GSW lighting up two of the best defensive teams in the NBA? highly unlikely. They didn't light up SA last year did they? They would win 2 games in which they were hot but they are a jump shooting team and would die by the three. Iggy guarding DRose? He's not Lebron that's not happening. Chicago plays lock down D and they have consistent effort and energy night in night out. I would favor them over anyone but SA in the West. There is more than one way to create a shot and having a post game is one of them, they don't have to beat you off the dribble(Indy) because they have two stud post players in Hibbert and West. Not sure how you see West as undersized when he is 6'10'' and is a strong as a bull, understanding how to use his body making him play bigger. All of these are hypothetical scenarios but it's fun to discuss/debate. Makes for an interesting season.

Lopez def vastly improved last season, you're right on that. They're probably better than I'm giving them credit for, but I still think they'd get pwned in the West and will be a 1st round bounce depending on match up. Not a title contender IMO.

As for GSW, they play def, are a scrappy team and have a much more talented team than the Bulls. I dont think it would even be that close. They have elite shooters are 2 spots, and the bigs to bully in the paint. Maybe it's a bit of west coast bias, but I think they'd be the 2nd seed in the East. I really like their roster. Klay thompson is a top 25 player in the league IMO, Barnes is growing into his own after an awesome playoffs, added Iggy, an elite def/rebounder who can also be a spot up shooter if need be. Bogut is finally healthy and an elite defender, David Lee is low post scoring threat, but lacks def. Curry is a top 6 player and perhaps the best shooter in the NBA ever. He's amazing on off. Lacks defense, I'll grant you, and has health concerns. Both teams healthy, I think GSW would knock out in the Bulls in 4/5 games. Bulsla re a great defensive unit but not much else. Rose and Noah are their 2 best players and neither has a solid jump shot.

Dwill got off to a slow start but averaged 23 and 10 and shot over 40% from three the second half of the season. 45% and 37 from three from a pg is great. Joe had bit of a down year at 42% but he should get better looks this year and be around 45% which is great. Terry did have a down year last year but he is big time clutch, makes big shots and shouldn't be counted on a ton so whatever he contributes will be a plus. Bennett isnt in good shape and for the most part has played inconsistent. He has already had flashes of greatness, though. One game he scored 16 points in the final 4 minutes and the led the Cavs to a win.

Random but I drafted 2 Cavs players in the top 5 rounds of my fantasy draft last night. First time doing NBA fantasy, so had very little clue what to do/how to win.

Kyrie was my first pick (5th overall), and I took Bynum in the 5th round.

Hope the Cavs stay healthy all year for the most part, interested to see how well they do. I think they are a 6 seed but could get the 5 over the Knicks.

If the knicks are a 5th seed, that will only illustrate how terrible the East is. They'd be a lotto team in the west.
