Important rubber match. Would love to take 2 of 3 from the Cards early in the season, in STL.

Also, fuck the Cardinals.

1:45 start for you Easterners.

Reds win 6-4. Dusty gets ejected and comes back with mustache glasses.

Then Dusty cures cancer, and jordo has a serious problem with it.

Need the win. Would be great to take 2 of 3 from three playoff teams to start the year.

I'm amazed with choo. His plate approach is aggressive yet he still draws walks. His at bats are awesome to watch.

Votto finally is aggressive early in the count and doubles.

Nobody else has hit a ball hard.

27 pitch third for homer and yes still only at 41 pitches. Could be less. Had EASY dp ball hit right to him but he went to 3rd and they only got one.

Reds are first pitch swinging like crazy. Awful approaches today, especially against Westbrook. They're helping him BIGTIME.

44 pitches through 4.1 innings for Westbrook. Reds have 6 first pitch outs. 3 are foul outs. Awful.

8 pitch 5th for Westbrook. Including a 4 pitch walk and 2 first pitch outs.

Ugh. Woke up from a Percocet-induced nap to see Homer start getting shelled here in the 5th.

Time to go back to sleep...

Even starting the critical 3rd time thru the Cards order with 2 outs and none on couldn't prevent them from denting the scoreboard.

Homer just couldn't find his control today. It happens, and the offense hasn't helped him either.

In 18 plate appearances for the Cards, the 3rd and 4th times thru their line-up, Reds pitchers recorded but 5 outs, and one of them was a sacrifice by the pitcher his 4th time up. Four home runs during that stretch also. Reds are fortunate they won one game in this series!
