Believe me little guy, you don't need to explain to me why your story was a fail. Your story was barely a "coach story" to begin with and it sure as hell wasn't even close to being funny.

In fact the funniest part of that story is probably the fact your old ass was sitting in that room watching practice living through high school boys.

I dont think it should be moved to the basement under any circumstance. Honestly, those idiots win if we do that. The whole issue is Like That and COA being absolute dickbags to anyone who posts something they don't like. Moving it to the basement and letting them continue doesn't do anything to stop it IMO.

I agree with this. Nothing is going to stop them and their asshole ways if everytime a thread turns to shit its just moved to where they can be even bigger assholes. Whats the point of the thread banning feature then?

He's being a dick, of course. He's always a dick. Just seems like the "little guy" or calling him old is pretty weak for a personal attack.

But I haven't read the rest of the thread, so perhaps there was something else.

Eh, his response is related to the topic, or at the very least is in a discussion that is relevant to the topic. Like I said, if there's other stuff that is maybe more of an attempt to actually derail, then obviously he's a good candidate, but I honestly don't see an intent to derail at all here. You're kidding right? How is calling said an "old ass who likes to sit and watch teenage boys" in any way relevant or not an attempt to get said to argue with him, derailing the thread.

I agree that just moving good threads to the basement simply to avoid actual moderation is no longer effective, and essentially rewards trolls.

Basically a decision needs made on how to handle it. They either need a lower threshold at which they get thread banned, or permabanned (actual permaban, not let off after 2 months for "good behavior") to the basement where they can just be themselves and it never ruins anything.

They obviously learn nothing with the way it is, so it's either aggressively not let them be dicks in the normal forums, or just lock them up and throw away the key because after 3 years, nothing else has sunk in

Eh, he said "his" old ass. So he called him old. And the way it reads sounds like he was trying to say he lives vicariously through what the boys do. At least that's his it seemed to read.

I didn't say what he said he was accusing him of anything. I said he only posted that to get into an argument with Said and it is in no way relevant to the thread.
