Obviously a fake story. Guns are the problem, not sick human beings.

Any and all knives need to be registered and background checks before purchasing. While we are at it, butter knives and forks can be stabbing weapons, we better get those registered too.

Seriously though, I feel fore the victims and families.

Next : comments about how guns in school would have stopped this.

Can't work muck worse than the "gun-free zone" idea.

Fourteen injured. Two of the fourteen refused treatment (so the "injury" was most likely a minor cut at worst). Twelve went to the hospital. Only two were critically injured. Four more were listed as in "fair condition."

There were two armed suspects.

Compared to one armed person taking out twenty-seven people in Connecticut.

I think it's safe to say that it is a lot easier to do more damage with guns than knives.

But I do agree that it's people that ultimately make the decision to hurt other people in these situations. But to pretend that a "school stabbing" is comparable to a "school shooting" is a joke. Guns are a lot more dangerous than a knife as far as extent of injuries and number of victims.

Good point F4F. Obviously not that big of a deal when compared to that massacre. Hell compare Conn shooting to an atom bomb....hardly even news. /sarcasm

It was supposedly an exacto knife. That's more comparable to a BB gun.

So you really don't think guns are inherently more dangerous than knives? I understand the criticism of me cherry picking the Connecticut school shooting to compare against this. But I did that as this is a relatively high number of injuries for an incident involving a knife. And that shooting was also a higher number and recent.

But completely disregarding that comparison, it's laughable to suggest that guns aren't more dangerous than knives. I can tell you 100/100 times if I was given a choice to either have to face someone with a knife or a gun, I'd choose the guy with a knife. Or similarly if I was in a class room full of people, if someone were to burst into a room, I'd prefer them to be "armed" with knives over guns.

So some of these comments trying to poke fun at the anti-gun crowd really miss the mark, which is all I was trying to point out.

No where. Where did I suggest someone said that?

But a comments such as jmog's or queencity's suggest that they are on an equal level by trying to draw the comparison between this and school shootings. Hence my post.

Sounded to me like you were arguing with yourself, or perhaps someone in the political forums. Wouldn't doubt that some idiot on here would have said that. Doesn't look like anyone said though, which makes your statements puzzling. Not sure why you felt the need to soap box about that 2 times.

Know I read their posts. queencity/jmog's was an obvious joke poking fun at politicians/anti gun ppl thinking that more rules and paper work at the way to solving issues. You thought he was serious? Hmmmmm....

Not sure they warranted a tl:dr attack treating them as serious remarks. To each their own though.

There is no reason to have knives. We need to outlaw them immediately.
