Nothing will probably come of this.

Cant wait for the rest of the SEC to get busted. Though, it will never happen.

Tell us something we dont know ESPN.

Noticed this on the bottom of sportscenter this morning but nothing was mentioned of it. Also find it odd that Mike/Mike didn't mention it either this morning. #secbias. If it was a big10 school it would be national headlines along with N.Korea

Even at that I cannot find much on FNC when I was watching about NK. May be covering it but I havent seen it. Saw CNN cover it with breaking news a few times.

SC covered it this AM..not sure about M and M tho

ESPN definitely has an interest in trying to down play anything that casts a negative light on the SEC because of their broadcasting rights. You can see it during their coverage of the league during the year. It's hopelessly biased.

Reporting a story by a site called 'roopstigo' with an armed robber's claim, that has been denied by the other players mentioned. Not much credibility there. LOL @ ESPiN having BAMA fanboy Paul Finebaum on the show to discuss it. What a joke of a sports network.

And m&m had a 20 min convo about how Rutgers should be ashamed of the way they've treated this mike rice situation...unreal they stretch to bash Rutgers but won't talk about the obvious and relatively big story on auburn and the precious sec.

And the thing is, some could say that ESPN is just being "cautious" about running with a story and they are just trying to get more information first...

ESPN certainly has no problem running with stories when they don't involve SEC schools.

Well Colin Cowherd is right now ripping apart Auburn and just said "This is the dirtiest program and has been for a long time in the SEC"...So yes ESPN is now involved.

The Rutgers story is fact, with video proof. The Auburn story is a felon's claim, and a couple misquotes of former teammates that were immediately denied. ESPN is talking it up now like crazy. They've had Finebaum on. Its all about the drama to get attention. Her story says coaches were handing money to a freshman who played special teams, and after a poor practice? WTF? Boosters are the one who hand money over, not coaches.

I know you guys like good conspiracy theories, but the lead story on 11 am SC was the Auburn story. And they laid out the accusations pretty clearly.

I was talking about the 6am sportscenter and Mike and Mike. Both beat to death the "leg break" and "rutgers abuse" but don't mention an SEC school. Typical.

Does anyone honestly think this doesn't happen at EVERY big time college athletic department? Football is huge money and we all know what the pursuit of money will do. Call me cynical, but I wouldn't be shocked if the percentage of NCAA schools doing some type of the very same thing is 80+%.

I'd guess if there was video evidence of Muschamp sliding $400 in cash to players available, Mike and Mike and Sportscenter would have talked about it. 3 of the people in the Auburn story have said they were misquoted. The author admitted to using incorrect quotes from one of the interviews, interviewed the same person again to make sure she got quotes right, then used the original quotes anyway. ESPN is usually pretty cautious about running with these stories which is always why it seems they are behind on them. They were close to breaking the Te'o story but couldn't get it verified so they waited. That didn't stop them from beating that to death did it?

To some degree, but some programs are more dirty than others.

I think they are very cautious about running any story that doesn't have to do with the big ten. When Jim Delaney stuck it to ESPN by creating the Big Ten network, ESPN got all butthurt and signed the SEC to a big time deal. Don't think it's a coincidence you see more "negative" stories about the big ten then other conferences. Call me a homer but thats how i see it.
