I’m planning a summer, week long vacation for my family of 12 as a surprise.
I’m looking for a rental, lake front (not great lakes) Indiana, Ill, (western or southern Ohio) and maybe Kentucky
Want to have access to Jet Sking, hiking, and just relaxing area in the woods and lake</SPAN>

It's not too bad. My in-laws have a lake house on it. We go down every July 4 for the festivities. Typically a good time.

We'd probably go more regularly if we lived closer.

Check out Lake James in NE Indiana. We have been going there for years.
Fantastic recreational lake. Not a big fishing lake but we do every AM and get enough for a fish fry late in the week and freeze enough for another big fish fry later.

There are SOME rentals around the lake or you can camp at Pokagon Park.
There is a family from our town that has been going there for over 60 years in a row.

Crystal clear water.

Realistic is to one day move up to my cabin (my parents will probably retire there, one day I would also like to) in Grayling, Michigan. Here are some pictures of the view: (NOTE: I am a huge fly-fisherman and this is as good as it gets E of the Mississippi)
