Funny, I was thinking this year that it's increasingly chalk because the tournament committee has gotten so good at its job.
But actually it seems parity, at least outside the top 5 or so teams, is really taking hold.
A #1 seed still has not lost a first round game (gawd I HATE them calling that R2 and those meaningless 4 play-in games no one watches R1).
However, three 15 seeds have won game in the past two years! Two 12 seeds (or was it 3?) won this year, keeping that trend alive. But you also had a few lower seeds than that - and Marquette narrowly escaping Davidson.
Once again all proving why March Madness is the best 3 weeks of the sporting year.
