If employees and companies have to pay more for insurance because of conditions of their workers, Obamacare Scam (over weight, smoking, blood pressure) which is now being ask to be filled out in insurance questionnaires. Depending on the condition of the workers will determine the potential increase of insurance to the company. This is not anything new but what is new is the detail of facts required.

Wait if the working populists is now being scrutinized because of the physical health condition what about the Welfare Recipients health condition.

What my point is if hard working Americans has to pay more because their own poor health condition than the same should be held accountable for those receiving Government Subsidies (welfare). Because many fat ass welfare and drug additive career welfare recipients don’t pay anything only receive subsidies. Until they can improve their physical condition they should receive less monthly welfare subsidies.

If you're obese or a smoker, you shouldn't be covered.

Belly, you should save at least half on your vision care.

Safeway offers lower health care costs for employees who are healthy. It's an incentive for fatties and smokers to lose weight and stop smoking. If you're too stupid to realize that being obese and/or smoking is unhealthy, you should be allowed to have insurance. Also, I agree with Sleeper and I don't think you should be allowed to get treatment without either proving you have insurance or paying up front.

I think children should be covered the age of 18 years old living at home going to school or in college, anyone after that is on their own.

I also think military and vets should receive free health care for them and their families...for life. You serve for X amount of years, go over seas, etc, you deserve to be taken care of for life.

It's also the choice of the vet to burden their family. This isn't the 1940's; you choose to sign up for the military and have that big family.

I would be ok with that for some of them. I have a friend who was drafted during the Korean war and he spent his time as a supply master in California. I'm not sure he deserves a life time of free healthcare for that.

What does it take now to get treated at a VA? My dad is retired national guard and he does get free (I think) healthcare as long as he goes to the VA.

Not having actually read the bill, I'm not sure who is telling the truth.

I could see premiums going up a little because insurance companies can't drop or refuse coverage any more (but you wouldn't think it was that many people and so not a huge cost to absorb).

But then I read they also can't discriminate on age - 65 yr old is going to pay the same as a 25 yr old. Hard to believe that is true, but it it is there will be a lot of pissed off young people (especially the ones who didn't feel the need to buy insurance at all).

Maybe that is how the program should work (like Social Security) but it just seems a bit odd to me that the 65-yr old only pays $5k when you know they are going to incur costs of $15k.

Depending on the rate of disability vets and their family do get some free medical care. I'm rated at 75 percent so my family could of had free medical insurance. I and my wife agreed that we would pay our own way. Now if the medical care was related to my injury then the VA took care of it.
My wife and I can get medical insurance now via the VA for in network Tricare for $135.00 month for the both of us. But we will not take advantage of this, we choose to pay for the better out of network and use Tricare Standard as our secondary coverage.

Free healthcare for life for military vets and their immediate families sounds nice, but will never, ever happen. A single-payer universal health care plan would be the way to go.

Maybe. I don't have a problem with the gubmit providing competition, but it should stand on its own without being propped-up by the taxpayer. And such cases are rare and unusual - which is unsurprising because the gubmit doesn't usually attract talented and enterprising individuals.

When that fat ass in the check out line cashing in on welfare card, that drug abuser taking up space in the emergency room, that career criminal living in project housing free and I have to pay more to provide for their worthless behavior. It's about time then (entitlement recievers) put some skin in the game also and get less of the federal entitlement. What did rewarding for failure become politically correct?
