I'll start. Since I started the thread. This is my right and you won't take it from me.

With Penn State hanging in there with Michigan at the half and with how they've at least not sucked quite as bad down the stretch, I had an amusing thought.

How would 14-20 Penn State be seeded if they won the B1G tournament? No way in hell this happens, but it's fun to think about. Especially since a comparison of them to actual #16 seeds took place on some thread recently.

No way a team will score 8 points in 4 seconds to overcome a 3 point deficit and win a game.

I'd seed them against that other 20 loss team that made the Tournament by going on a win streak to win their conference tournament in one of the 2 play-in games.

No chance. You win the conference tournament of the best conference in the country; I don't care if you have 100 losses, you will get a good seed. Book it.

How can you "book it" and have "no chance" when dealing with a completely hypothetical situation?

Just did a quick google search but an answer that came up was that the lowest seed from a BCS conference was Georgia at a 14
Coming into the tournament they were 4-12 in the sec and 13-16 overall.
Started the tourny at 17-16 in 2008.

Also..they had to win TWO GAMES on the same day during the conf tournament due to weather postponing games.....

I kinda remember that. The building games were being played in got throttled by some storm and didn't the tournament have to be moved to a new site or something?

yeah...from Georgia Dome to Ga Techs home court.

I remember it as well becuase it reminded me how Indiana does their HS tournament games. They play at like 10am, and noon. Then the winners come back later that night and square off.

They gave Xavier a run in the 3/14 game too.

But Penn State would be a 16.

Penn State would probably have been around a 9-10 seed if they would have won the Big Ten tournament. They would have had to beat 3 top 25 RPI teams to win it, giving them more than most of the bubble teams, and their worst loss is Northwestern, which isn't good, but isn't as bad as most of the bubble teams.

15 I would bet. I don't know if the committee would put a major conference team in the 16 slot.

I didn't think it could happen either until I saw them butt ram MSU(a title team) and Indiana(the title favorite).

This year's championship will go to a team from the B1G and you can take that to the bank.

Just don't bring it to fifth third, because we'll just pocket your winnings :D

Vandy somehow wins the SEC Tournament and makes the NCAA Tournament. I've dogged them all year, including predicting they would win at-most, 4 SEC games total. They punked the hell out of UK after playing them to the wire twice before.

Kevin Stallings lost his top 6 scorers and 4 3-year+ starters to the NBA. Yet somehow is 10-10 in the conference right now...WTF?

Shit depending on who they get first game, you could say making it to the second round

Carolina to the Sweet 16 could easily happen, imo. Not sure it fits in this thread.
