Illinois wins the 1st game over Minnesota by a score of 51-49.Minnesota was down by 9 at the half but fought back and had a late lead until D.J.Richardson nailed a 3 to tie the game at 49. Following a turnover, Brandon Paul hit a fadeaway 15 footer to win the game.Paul was the only Illinois in double figures with 25 points.The Gophers killed themselves by committing 18 turnovers.
