[h=1]Buy Adam Carolla’s Mangria[/h] You have heard about it on his podcast, now for the first time you too can enjoy Adam Carolla’s signature beverage, Mangria. Combining red wine and the smooth sweet flavors and aromas of plum, cherry, blackberry, orange and citrus, Mangria tastes delicious and is great for any occasion from appetizers, to backyard barbeques, to midnight cocktails. “As a nightly consumer of red wine, I was shocked one evening to find I had just half a glass left in the bottle. So I did what any decent alcoholic, ex-con, American would do… I went to the fridge and the liquor cabinet, then poured, mixed and measured. Thus Mangria was born,” said Adam Carolla. With 20.9% alcohol by volume Mangria has the real kick anyone needs in their drink but without the extra calories. Mangria has around 130 calories per serving which is half the calories of a microbrew. For only $19.95 a bottle, Mangria makes the perfect wine-spirit gift and is also available by the keg for restaurants, clubs, and bars. Mangria is made by California Shiners in Napa Valley, Ca. Since this is an alcoholic beverage, we are unable to ship to Massachusetts, Delaware, Connecticut, Pennsylvannia, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Montana, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont and Hawaii. We are also unable to ship to a Foreign country or an Armed Forces APO box. We are all working diligently on getting the product into distribution as well as exported to those countries that are begging for it."

I've never tried it. But I might be interested in ordering a bottle. Sounds tasty, and at 20.9% ABV, it'll probably fuck you up a little bit, too.

Will probably make a killing on the college scene as a competitor for Mad Dog and Boones.
Although the price is interesting - $20 for basically 40-proof liquor isn't exactly cheap, and more expensive than premium vodkas and other liquors. So maybe not targeting the college market.

Let's break this down...
Cheap red wine. Cheap vodka. Probably OJ from concentrate. And likely lots and lots of sugar to cover up the taste (although 130 calories suggests not a ton of sugar, but I'd have to see how much constitutes "1 serving")
I'm not likely to serve something called "Sledgehammer" to the wine and cheese crowd, either.

So, it's pretty much a screwdriver with a bunch of wine and sugar added ...
Yeah, I'll stick to Scotch. Thanks.

And I saw Adam Corolla talk about this on Conan(?) a few months ago...Still, I have to wonder if he actually did make-up this concoction or it all isn't "clever" marketing. I'm going with the latter, assuming a self-professed "nightly wine drinker" would never be down to just a few glasses left in the house. Since he has a fair amount of money, I'd expect him to have a fully stocked cellar.

Corrolla has a lot of money. Just look up all the cars he has. More than most nba players and rappers. Plus he is a carpenter and most likely built his house. I know Kimmel said corrolla built him an office as an attachment to kimmels house.

He used a have a very successful radio show. I don't know if he still does the show or just the podcast but his radio show was great.

Celebrity status and wealth aren't necessarily indicative of one another, so it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he had a large wine cellar.

That also ran on MTV, weekly I think, for several years. And he's been in at least a few movies with a decent supporting role.TBone14;1408567 wrote:He used a have a very successful radio show. I don't know if he still does the show or just the podcast but his radio show was great.
His net worth is estimated @ $15M - I think those things are pretty inaccurate, but generally in the ballpark.
I'll stand by my claim that the guy would have at least a few hundred bottles in a wine cellar (something many aficionados not worth $1M would have) and thus never be completely tapped out.
Of course, entirely possible this goes back to his very early career when he might have been living paycheck-to-paycheck. But I'll stick with it being nothing more than a fabricated back story as part of clever marketing.
