Saw she left ESPN. On CNN for teh Super Bowl they welcomed her as one of the main sports people on the network and last night she was on vs that dickwad Pierce Morgan about the NRA 500.
ESPN losing some of the women because they dont get to move up into more prominant roles?
Always had a thing for rachael.....

I don't think losing Rachel Nichols is a big deal. In fact, I don't think ESPN could really lose anyone that would necessarily be seen as a negative as they can just plug in more people, continue with the non-important stories centering either around the big stars or only the major market teams and also have their faux debates with pre-manufactured opinions to create controversy.thavoice;1400340 wrote:Saw she left ESPN. ESPN has enough "talent" to plug the holes of anyone departing.
The real hits will come when other networks start to bid more aggressively and take away TV deals for broadcasting rights especially for the college games.
Also, I never thought she was attractive. Something about her nose bothered me.

She's an actual journalist, she doesn't belong at the 4-letter.

oh, yeah, losing her wont hurt them at all. I cannot think of any personality that they have would really hurt the network if they lost him/her.
I agree though that the thing that could hurt them is losing rights for certain things. NBC, CBS and I think Fox either have or will be coming out with their own sports only networks. Heck I forget about NBC Sports all the time.

with that said tho....CNN def needs someone with a little sports knowledge.
Hearing some of their sports people butcher some names is just plain sad at time!

ESPN isnt ever going to overpay for a reporter. They dont need to. So, naturally, when the good ones (and yes, attractive ones) get offers to do more at another network they are gonna bolt.
