I came across this question on deadspin.

For those who are single what are your least favorite parts about dating?

For those married or in a long relationship, what part of dating do you not miss?

I'd say holding in my farts and paying for shit is my least favorite part.

It can be awkward at times if there is no chemistry and since women don't want to be treated as equals but given preferential treatment the guy has to pay for the awkwardness on every date.

It's costly to "date" so I try to avoid it as much as possible and opt for group hang outs with friends as opposed to a 1 on 1 situation. From my experience the payoff happens at about an equal rate on group hang outs vs. 1 on 1, and on group hang outs you can typically get away with paying for yourself(or at most 1 drink). My usual plan is to go on date #1 and then on any future "date" just invite her out with my group of friends and tell her to bring some of her friends. EZ.

Being single, I enjoy the freedom of being able to do whatever I want, whenever I want, having to answer to nobody but myself.

If I want to sit on my ass and watch ESPN all day, I can do so without having to hear nagging.

lol, I try to go this route as well. Saves money, and sends a message that she isn't worthy of continuous 1 on 1 dates. That seems to drive them crazy, and they won't take 1 on 1 dates for granted.

I'm married and generally enjoy this freedom.

As for what I do not miss, definitely the farting thing. Now it's a badge of honor to rip a fart so loud/smelly that it elicits a reaction from my wife. There is a drawback, though, since she also no longer holds them in.

Having nothing to talk about sucks, that's the worst. Paying for almost every date blows too. The positives are being able to bang multiple girls are the same time.

Not anything I dont really like about. I'll take a girl out once and dont mind paying because I ask the girl out. After the first date I can guage if its something I want to pursue further or not. If not, I got to know somebody a little better and do something fun. I dont keep taking them out just to burn time or whatever, so not much money is wasted.

I have a friend who will continually take a girl out when he has no interest in a relationship with her whatsoever. Then he complains about not having money LOL.

My girlfriend works 3rd shift at a hospital(7p-7a) and just got a second job as a server. I hate having to work out schedules just to hang out. I prefer to go to bed earlier since I'm up earlier, but if she's off work I have to hang out with her because who knows when the next time we're both free will be.

I guess this is more of a scheduling thing not a dating bitch.

I'll try again: I hate how I have to be more discrete at looking facebook swimsuit photos of other girls.

This was my biggest issue back in college. For whatever reason I always ended up seeing the really cute, innocent type who you had to wine and dine for at least 6 months before you'd get anywhere.....then, the sex would be terrible since they were nervous/awkward/shy but mostly inexperienced.

Now, I give it one month.

I didnt really give a shit about paying for the dates. $20 extra bucks for dinner wasn't a big deal.

I don't miss all the waiting, trying to figure them out, hoping for sex and being let down or worrying about cockblocking friends.

6 months is too long and terrible in bed isnt good either, but its better than spending it on a slut who will just fuck you over, IMO. Obviously a happy medium is preferred. Never have taken a hoe out. Why spend money on them when I can get it for free?

Paying isn't too bad, it's how some girls expect you to pay. Last date I went on, the bill came up and I just left it there. I planned on paying, but the way she avoided even going near it was annoying.

Another is when I asked a girl out, then on the date she was boring as hell. So then you're stuck there til you finish eating, never getting past the small talk because she's either too shy or awkward.

Quality not quantity. I find most quality women don't give it up super easy. I try to have the best of both worlds with quality and quantity but alas I don't even make enough for that. :laugh:
