Default =/= pin.

Sorry.
Still hope he wins. Just wish you were less obnoxious and more understanding of the basic differences between pins and defaults.

Hope this helps.

The latter part of that statement IS, in fact, an accurate assertion.

He said he hoped he wins...

A default certainly isn't a pin.

Just as well, I hope he gets the pin tomorrow night.

I wish him luck too, but with all due respect, he should be "pinning" his way to 3rd/4th.

The kid from Bedford stuck him good and it is a crime that wasn't called a pin. If his caoch's last name wasn't Disabato, he'd be in the consolations. Period.

This. I really, really hope he wins. I love the Central District getting state champs. Especially as many as they may this year.

I would just wish you were a more gracious winner.

Haters gonna hate lol.

As far as whoever initially made the statement about him pinning his way to a title, if you haven't heard someone say something ridiculous with a biased opinion in our sport, you haven't been around long. We all do it and there's no reason for grow men to get on a forum and hate on a teenager for a statement he or someone else made.

In fact, there's no reason to hate on a teenager you know nothing about outside the sport of wrestling.

Good luck to Travis and the rest of our central ohio wrestlers!

First, I don't see anybody HATING on Travis. What they are saying are facts. Don't make a statement about
PINNING your way through state and then bitc@ when people correctly state that it would not happen, and
indeed DID NOT HAPPEN. Remember the District results weren't all pins.

Second, he was extremely fortunate his coaches were able to have the refs over turn the illegal slam . It was
awarded to the opponent immediately after he did it, and then after refs getting worked by his coaches, it was retracted. The kid can't continue, and Gusan wins by DEFAULT. He was extremely lucky he was awarded the
match.

Again, he is a good wrestler, and in all honesty , other people that have made bold and ignorant statements
about him that have placed the outside pressure and criticism upon him. And when you wear the shirt ,
HATERS GONNA HATE, well, some will.

Let him wrestle and win the State, and enjoy his accomplishments with some class and without the hype and
over the top statements.

Firts of all maybe you need glasses because you didnt obviously see what EVERYONE else seen, the slam was legal and the audience as well as REFS and the commissioner all agreed, as for the Bedford boy that defaulted Gusan had him "stuck" as you call it and he tapped out the first time around . The only half true thing that has came out of your mouth was the bedford boy did have Gusan on his back , BUT was not a pin , it was really close to it. YOU have in fact been very negative towards Gusan all season. If you have nothing positive , truthful or factual to say then say nothing at all. Gusan has 2 pins and a Default , one match to go to be a state champ. There has obviously been confusion with a default and pins . I suppose next your going to say the commissioner bullied the refs to .

Self-evident statement of the year. "His coaches did not over turn the call". As some 2nd grader somewhere once said, "No Duh!". Coaches can't over turn calls.

Seriously!?!?

Strongly disagree. I think you would have an extremely hard time quoting anything I have written on this board that would be considered by a reasonable person to be "negative toward Gusan". Because I don't drool all over myself or get a thrill up my leg at the mention of his name, I'm some how negative? I don't get it.

Please find your own glasses and re-read my posts. I never referred to the the slam at all, let alone did I call it either legal or illegal.

However, now that you mention it, as others have noted, he is fortunate the illegal slam call did not hold. Opponents must be returned to the mat in a safe and controlled fashion. He did neither. Not endorsing wimpy stuff, just the rules.

It was not an illegal slam. The other kid was brought to the mat hard and physical ( just like a wrestler should take his opponent to the mat) and the other kid was a little dramatic .... in my opinion. Yes it provably hurt but it was not an illegal slam. Go get um Travis. How about the fact that we probably watched him beat the 2nd best kid by pin in the semi round! The Harrison kid is GOOD!

^ this

I thought the double leg was legal myself. 285lbs is always going to make a loud sound. Plus he wrestled his next match.

Speaking of Wade Ishmael, we played them in junior high for football and I remember him being so damn big and he just straight picked me up with 1 hand and threw me 5 yards back lol
