It's Manning.

You take him off the Colts and you are a looking at a football team that is below .500. Maybe (And IMO) well below .500.

Here we are late in the season and Peyton Manning and the Colts are two games away from a perfect regular season and are right where they want to be in the pursuit of a Super Bowl Title. I guess that my vote is a vote for consistent performance and Peyton Manning represents that. He is always in the process of getting his team to the big games and then performing well in them.

Right now id go with Manning but if CJ can go off these last 2 games and get Tenn into the playoffs id have to give it to him.

1. Peyton Manning
2. Drew Brees
3. Chris Johnson
4. Brett Favre
5. Rivers

Manning gets the nod over Brees because of the late game heroics he seems to pull off on a weekly basis.

Chris Johnson

Rivers should get alot of consideration for what San Diego is doing this year.

Rivers has great big, awesome handed receivers...with speed.

A tough year to be in the running....most years and undefeated QB with great stats might be unanimous....but Drew Brees is a mini-notch below him...and if Chris Johson makes it to 2,000.

Right now....I'd vote Manning...and if he does decent and the Colts go 16-0.....he's my vote...if Colts lose and Brees finished strong...he will win....if both struggle a touch and Johnson gets over 2000 he should win.

QB's get the nod over RB....just ask Barry Sanders and Marshall Faulk.

Thing is, for all intent and purposes, Manning is done for the regular season. If the Colts don't go undefeated, Manning will have little to do w/ that.

I think it'll be a factor....if Manning doesn't play much or well it could go to Brees.

Rivers is having a great year.....but right now he's just the go different sexy pick. Switch Manning or Brees with what Rivers has and I believe they would have at least as good of a record and Rivers would not be undefeated on the Colts or 1 loss on the Saints.

I'll take heat for this but if the Steelers make the playoffs, then I think BIG BEN should be in the conversation.

Agreed. The Colts running game is pathetic, they're playing without Gonzalez, no more Harrison, etc. But they just fill the gap with guys like Austin Collie, and Peyton just keeps making them look good.

I think Chris Johnson is the best player in the league, but don't see how he could be the most valuable. He was putting up great numbers the first 6 games of the year and Tennessee was 0-6.

Actually, I'd think it would be Troy. They're a totally different team with him in. Polamalu for MVP!!!! Or what about Holmes? Big Ben can throw but if no one catches it...then what??? How about the lineman that don't block??? If Ben didn't have defenders hanging from his arms every down he wouldn't look so great when he completes those passes.

It's Manning.
