Good job fellas!
Great job, and great season coach. Good year for the City League with 4 (that I know of) State Qualifiers.

Agreed! Congrats to all.

I will say I'm shocked that Mills landed at 5th. He's one of the best wrestlers I've seen all year at his weight class. I mostly follow DI, so I don't know what his competition was like at Districts, I'm just really surprised by it.

If someone had told me a month ago that neither Mills nor Alexander would be a State I would have slapped them for suggesting something so stupid.

USMC, hope I am not speaking too soon but based off my records this is a first. Heck, I'm pretty sure 2011 was the first city champ mifflin had since the early 90's.

That's the media for you man! Don't feel bad... The Dispatch doesn't putting any effort into the sport of wrestling anyways! Good job! Keep up the good work.

The head coach has done a good job of promoting the program and getting his youth excited about being a Puncher! I'm glad to be an assistant and hope I have added to the quality of the program! Get on that podium Hannibal and Jalen!!

Coach was putting time in with the youth way back. He made a program where there wasn't one. Got kids to come wrestle. Got them to stay. Stayed with it through thick and thin. Those boys thank you, I know.
I've been saying this for twelve years. TWELVE! Columbus Public High Schools...Your feeder programs are at the Rec Centers! Columbus Recreation and Parks Dept. Linden, Feddersen, Schiller, Indian Mound, Marion Franklin, Westgate, Tuttle, Far East, Whetstone, Sullivant Gardens...

'The Mifflin 2' started there.
Other kids who wrestled at Columbus Recreation and Parks Dept. Rec Centers...Greg Brusco, Delaware Hayes. Patch Garren, Bishop Ready. Brad Kakos, Franklin Heights. James and Josh Wimer, Central Crossing. Nick Hammond, Canal Winchester. Clayton Ray, Hamilton Township. Micky Crum, Hamilton Township. Chico, West. Alonzo & Mateo Saxton, Bishop Hartley(No longer wrestling, but they were very good.) There are many others...List em'.

Great Job Hannibal and Jalen. Great job coach!
CPS wrestling coaches...Your future studs are just down the street, hanging out, waiting for something to do.
Let me know....I'll do everything I can to get you a youth program in one of YOUR recreation centers.

Not really feeder programs, but the effort is appreciated! The introduction/exposure is important and the rec centers provide that.

No. They absolutely can be feeder programs. Especially to the HS that gets a coach or an assistant involved.
