If we are assuming a nice steakhouse, I'd order it medium rare.

If we assume any other restaurant that does not specialize in steak, medium.

Usually medium. I'll cook medium rare at home, but that is because I can eat it still hot, while at a restaurant it never seems warm enough.

I prefer to heat it on a skillet. But i'd also eat it cold.

Med rare with a nice sear is the way to go.

I'm really comfortable with my masculinity and don't need to prove it by slapping raw animal flesh on a fire. But when I do choose to do it I'm really a grill master pretty much like I am with everything.

overcooking a great steak is a sin....as bad as putting an automatic in a sports car.....rare to medium rare for great cuts, medium rare to medium for average or below.
