Little bitch. Why fuck your teammates over? Why embarrass your parents by acting like a 2 year old? Yeah, you suck. Every backup thinks they are better than the guy ahead of them. Get over it and get better.

Pretty funny. I only quit one team my entire life and I probably should have done it this way.

He asked his teammates if they cared if he did it theyoasis no it would be funny so he didn't really make his teammates angry.

My best friend quit our basketball team this way. But it was in a practice.

He didn't ask them all. The ones that he did ask were probably all his little friends on the team. If none of them cared about him doing what he did and costing them a game, the team has bigger problems anyways. My competitive side would have said fuck you to him.

Didn't look like the team cared. If his team mates didn't care I can't really say it bothers me too much.

I never quit any sports growing up, even if we sucked and I didnt like it. If I ever did quit, it sure wouldnt be that way. Glad my parents didnt raise me to be a bitch when things dont go my way.

had a guy on our varsity baseball team quit with a walk off. we were at an away game, he had his friend who was on the team but out with an injury drive his car to the field. when he saw he wasn't in the starting lineup, he walked out of the dugout without saying a word, walked to his car that was parked near the outfield and took off.

...Goalies are a different breed for sure. Better to quit this way than to shoot the coach in the locker room!

Reminds me a story from Bruce Bowen. He was playing baseball back in middle school or high school, didn't like or agree with his coach and quit the team. Latter in the season he got the itch (plus I think someone got injured) and talked to the coach telling him he was ready and wanted to get back on the team. The coach told him, that's great Bruce, but no thanks. We're fine without you. He said that stuck with him and helped him not QQ when he wasn't scoring the way he wanted to in the NBA. He said he was used to lighting it up and being the guy in basketball, and going to being a role player in the NBA was difficult but he remembered being pwned by his coach.

Wish more coaches would be tough like that.

It saddens me to think that anybody would be ok with this. If he were my kid, I would have disowned him.
