Buckeyes have done a great job on defense, especially on Norris Cole

Very crucial to get those 3 wins after the Butler game. I know they weren't against the best competition but without Turner you never know what can happen. Ten wins going into B10 play is very good.

If we can manage a 2-2 start in Big 10 play I would be thrilled.

We should beat Indiana at home. They obviously still aren't there yet. But the other games are all on the road, @ Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota.

I would say we're probably about even in terms of talent with those teams without Turner. If we can get one of those 3 wins things will start to set up nicely for us with Turner hopefully close to back and a stretch with Iowa twice in a couple of weeks a lot of conference home games.

About as good as you can hope for heading into Christmas.

I still don't understand why everyone is playing so many minutes.

Without Turner, I see OSU starting the Big Ten off at 1-4 to be honest. They still struggle offensively, and go long periods without scoring. That wont' cut it in the big ten, and they will dig themselves some holes and be in uphill struggle.
On a side note, Matta made a comment on the radio that made me believe that Turner will be back MUCH sooner then expected. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

BTW, I really thought Clev St has some decent talent. I honestly don't see how they are 4-9. They are athletic, and have some good guards. But they are very undisciplined offensively and make terrible decisions quite often. But they are better then a 4-9 team IMO.

If Lighty continues to pick up the slack I can see OSU going 2-2.

Last night during the game they were saying Mid-January for Turner to be back.

I could see that too, which is why I'd be thrilled with a 2-2 start. I'm hoping to possibly have Turner back for Purdue so I didn't include that one.

I don't think Wisconsin has the offensive firepower to run away from anyone, but wouldn't expect to beat them in Madison.

Michigan is definitely a team we could beat without Turner. They just aren't very good.

Minnesota is hard to tell. They've played well the last few games, but haven't exactly been playing the toughest competition.

I think if Ohio State can beat Wisconsin they will start 4-0 in conference play. It's not like we need a big offensive output against Wisconsin and Michigan, teams who usually do not score in the 70s in tough games which suits the Buckeyes well. Sure they'll have to grind it out and win ugly but I think that gives us a better chance without our big offensive star. Ohio State will at worst start 2-2
