Sorry, Dr. Ewald informed the A.D. this afternoon that team has wide spread skin issues. Practice and matches prohibited until further notice. Too close to sectionals, North Coaches and A.D. did not want to be responsible for post season infection of any wrestlers or state bound kids. North sat out a few kids last Sat. in Delaware. 4 more popped up yesterday and today on Varsity. Kids are sad, wanted shot at OCC on Thurs. but Dr. says no way. Sorry, but we hope everyone would do the same.

Very noble of the young men! Very terrible but hope they can get healthy by post season!

Excellent decision.... Get everything cleared up... Sectionals is when the season really starts.

Good Luck WN.

Yeah, unfortunate. If it were just a few cases of ringworm we would have just filled w/ JV and gave it our best shot, but it is effecting too many and too fast ( suprising, because we are very cautous and disinfect everything everyday). Had to get control now. Would hate to inadvertantly give it to anyone tonight. Too many quality kids on the mat and it would be a shame if it had any effect on sectionals. We are sending a mostly freshman and JV ( separate practices ) to the Jon Deno in Athens, which has 25+ Varsity squads there ( not a MIT or Brecksville obviously ) but we are going to try and compete as best we can. Good luck to all tonight

Very responsible of the WN program. Class act, hope it clears up and they tear up the post season.

Nice job to the coaches and wrestlers for keeping other kids out of the FUNKs way.. It can sneak up on you!
