I already unapproved the post and said to cut out personal attacks. This could be infraction worthy, but to be fair slight personal attacks had already been happening on the thread prior to that comment which may have provoked this.

It's provided a good bit of hilarity for me. I hope he just gets more crazy over it, to be honest, just for the lulz it consistently brings.

As far as what to do regarding this specific post and others to clean up the thread.

1) Is this worthy of an infraction? Standing alone I'd say yes, but I think there were a lot of slights being thrown around prior to this that instigated this kind of thing. I think the in thread warning is probably enough.

2) Do we need to go through that thread and unapprove other posts or just try to keep out the personal attacks going forward?

I'd honestly have to say that as far as #1 goes, if that is, Ernest probably earned about 20 retroactive infractions, since I don't know that he does anything whatsoever on that thread other than stalk/troll Karen.

So, I'd go with #2, where we just try to keep people from getting personal. As regardless of how brain-damaged Lotz is acting in regards to Te'o, it wouldn't really be cool to bust him for being a douche when others have been total douches to him on the same thread.

If it's that bad, you can always blow it up (lock it) and restart

I just went back two more pages and unapproved personal attacks and a few completely irrelevant posts subsequent to my warning. I'll try to keep an eye on this thread in the future.

I feel like arguing with the wonder twin douches who made the comment "that's all you did?" when you gave a verbal.

They can't prove or disprove if anyone was infracted or not, but then they'll ask me to prove it and I can't, lol.

Just different circumstances? Personally, I view busting someones chops different than flat out attacking them.

I think it is infraction worthy on its own but I haven't read through the thread. If the thread was already a shit show of attacks I'd say just go through and clean it up and issue a warning that any further attacks will result in an infraction/basement ban and/or thread ban.

ETB and RDI were both antagonizing Karen before Karen's comment in my opinion. Which is why I already did what you suggested (cleaning it up, and issuing a warning). If others want to take a look at the thread and have a different opinion that's fine by me.

But RDI and ETB definitely made it personal before Lotz did. RDI had a few comments before Lotz's, one was referencing lotz's sister (not sure if Lotz has one), another calls him a girl, another implies Lotz is gay by saying Te'o is his boy toy. (Also, I'm under the assumption Lotz is indeed a guy).

While not 1 of RDI's single posts was as bad necessarily as Lotz's, RDI was making it personal for a few posts before Lotz responded in kind.

That's how I view this situation at least.
