It is just that if you look at the pictures they are normal faces. If you look at the arrow the faces look morphed and fucked up.

It obviously has something to do with the widely varying sizes of photos (each one is dramatically smaller or larger than the last, thus likely creating a morphed effect when rotated rapidly) and how our eyes perceive things out of focus. Neat nonetheless.
