Once again we are pleased (and proud) to host this year's tournament.

A couple of new faces for this year, but still, IMO, going to be a GREAT day of wrestling!

Beachwood
Bishop Ready*
Licking Valley
Tri-Valley
Whitehall
Groveport Madison
Logan
New Albany
Olentangy Orange
Pickerington North
Teays Valley*
Troy
Westerville Central
Worthington Kilbourne

*denotes new to the tournament

Should be fun!

Garren vs. Farrow....good stuff! Likes like a very solid card, overall. Lots of talented teams.

basementtrained - heck of a list!!! (I dig the "THE GMHS")

152: Kresovic (WC) just won the Jonathan Alder tournament. Troy had a few tough kids at Pickerington North's tournament. Maybe a heavyweight too! Those results are on baumspage. I'll check. Or someone else can check. Whatevs.

So how about it Cruiser? Will there be the parade of champions? A little AC/DC pumping through "THE" GMHS gym?

Also- have you lined up Justin Bieber for the Awards?

Sadly, Justin Bieber can not attend.

And I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to do a "highlight" finals match! (Notice I didn't say spotlight! Jeesh! A kid could get hurt that way!) Run the 5th and 3rd place matches just before the finals!!!! That would be great!!! But we will have a parade of champions... Just not sure if it will be 1, 3, 5... Or just finalists!!!!!!

And yes... AC/DC will be rocking the "Parade"!!! Hopefully, Brian and Angus will accept my request and be there in person, but if not, I still have dad4sports mp4 file.

Most have grown out of that weight for this year though. However, those kids are still just as tough so wherever they land, it should make for an exciting weight class.

You see that is the problem I have with these tournaments, how can you have a parade of champions but then say:

"No Justin Beiber, No Nicki Minaj, No Jonas Brothers or Carly Rae Jepsen"

That is just not right, get with the times grandpa!!!

bluejacket-In terms of a regular season tourney, it is a very good one - some of the best schools from Central Ohio are there plus Beachwood and Troy bring in some very good wrestlers to add to the mix.

Since your location says you are from Licking County, you will have to root for Licking Valley of course!

Line-ups are beginning to trickle in.

I'm picking up the foam brackets today (24"x36", ya know!?). The pleci-glass fronts are ready. I have a few cuts left to make on the wood, as well as pre-drilling the screw holes for the angled connectors. Team and individual 2nd and 3rd place plaques are in. Medals for fourth are on-hand.

Hmmm... I think things are shaping up nicely!

1prouddad: Thanks for the kind words.
