Any of you make a conscientious effort to do this? It drives me nuts when people do this... No idea why. You can take the time to back in, but are too fucking stoopid to back the fuck out?

I back into my spot at work because I drive a full size truck and park in a spot that butts up against a median. If I back in, it allows me to get further into the space and I don't have to worry about being in the aisle

I do most of the time because it's just easier when I'm pulling out. I won't do it if it's going to hold traffic up or anything though, unless I know it's going to be a pain in the ass to get out when I leave.

I usually park way out in the parking lot so I dont have to worry about this. If I do need to park I pull in I have no issues with backing out. If its easier to get out if I back the car in I will do that but its very rare that I ever need to do that. Also I am guessing you have had quite a few with all the misuse of words you have made in your post.

So if someone chooses to back their car in, that means they are too stoopid to back out?

Wut?

It's allegedly safer to pull out head first than to back out. But no, I don't back into parking spaces because I feel its a waste of time and you would have to be a terrible driver to smash into someone backing out of a space.

The key for me is a quick getaway when a large event ends and I beat most of the crowd to the cars.

OK, so you don't have back in because it's a waste of time. It takes me just as long to back into a parking spot as it would if I'm backing out of one. Either way, you're backing out at least once. So how's it saving any time either way? Lol

If I pull into a parking lot with dual parking rows, I'll pull forward into the second row so I'm parked to pull out head first. It's just easier to pull out than back out.

But generally I do not back into a parking slot.

I only back in when I know ETB is watching (and stop blowing your damn whistle every time I do it!)

I don't, but know people that do. I can back out of a parking spot so why should I back in.

I do this too. But it sure does piss people off that were just about to pull into that spot from the other side. I don't blame them because it pisses me off as well.

For this reason...

It's much easier to aggressively pull into a line of cars if nobody will let you out than it is to back out into a line of traffic behind you.

If I am parking at a place that everyone leaves at the same time (work or sporting event) yes I will back in. I will pull forward if I have the chance so I don't have to back out.

Yeah, there is one spot in our parking lot that has a stone wall on one side. If it's the last spot available I always back in so that there is more space to open the door.

True. But when I do something like that I'm usually drinking, so I don't drive. I pull a Sleeper and have the Limo, errr I mean Taxi pick me up and take me home.

Ill back in if I am up against a wall (last spot in a parking lot sometimes) because you wont be able to backout if there is a car directly behind you across the lane and a wall to your left.

But this happens like twice a year lol.

You're all stupid. Nobody backs in, they pull FORWARD thru the spot so when they leave they just drive out. No backing-in involved.

Yes, because all these people just pulled forward through the spot didn't they? I'm sure they didn't back in at all. Wow.

If that's a one-way street, backing in and pulling straight out is actually easier and more convenient.

I wont argue that. I was just pointing out the fact that you said they always pull forward through a parking space, when that's obviously not true. Lol :p
