Listening to the Basketball Jones today and they brought up the Hall of Very Good. Where they got to put in a player they loved, and played well but wont make it in the HoF. Examples Nick Van Axel (old) or Al Hortford (current).
Who would you put in the Hall of Very Good?
For me, first is no doubt Andra Davis, MLB for the Browns. Dude was a stud and led the league in tackles (199). Current day players is a little harder for me. Maybe DQ, Alex Mack mack also gets some consideration. Tribe suck ass so I'm excluding them. Cavs I would go Big Z and no one from the current roster.
Who are some of the guys you'd elect?

Kenny Lofton is who I thought of when I read this thread title. I would also like to put Mark Price in my biased hall of very good.

In terms of the NBA, I can think of two players off the '90s Seattle Sonics in Detlef Schrempf and Shawn Kemp. Schrempf was the ultimate glue guy, and one of the three best European players ever to play in the NBA prior to Dirk Notwitski, along with Drazen Petrovic and Arvydas Sabonis. Detlef was the epitome of versatile.
Kemp is self-explanatory. For a stretch of about three seasons when he was at the peak of his powers, Kemp was arguably the most unstoppable offensive force in the NBA. You couldn't guard him, because he could just fly over you. IMO the most athletic player there was in the NBA during the '90s, by a very large margin.
Penny Hardaway falls into that same category. Without the injuries, Penny would have had enjoyed a similar individual career to what Kobe has had. There is not a doubt in my mind about that. Penny was great.
