I thought that trade was a blockbuster, to an extent. As it turns out, neither player has been heard from since.

Of course, Pineda could still be a stud when he comes back from the DL.

Montero was good for a minute. Noesi is useless. And Pineda may never pitch again, I hear.

ugh. i remember being angry when they trade happened. i loved having pineda following king.

at this point though, seattle has so much young talent coming up(mainly in the lineup) i'm still excited to see how it plays out. we haven't even gotten the big 3 into majors yet.

The boos were impressively brutal, kudos there.

I boo'd the shit out of him..12 rows back, too..great seats.

I was wearing an "A-Roid" jersey/shirt. Took about 20 pictures with people. I was looking for ESPN people to put me on the front cover of ESPN. Didn't find any :(

12 rows back is solid (I've got row A sect 145 Wed for Reds)

I don't think I've ever boo'd anyone.

Just classic stuff in the Bronx

2-2 count 2 outs.....Yanks 3 and Tigers 1....Rivera vs Cabrera. Rivera throws a pitch that makes Cabrera foul it off his knee and he doubled over in pain and limped around for a couple minutes, next pitch he buries it in on his hands again and fouls it off of his foot....Cabrera laughing/crying....Tigers dugout looking defeat in the eye laughing......2 pitches later Cabrera bombs one over the CF fence to tie it.

Good good baseball.

I flipped it away before Miggy was up and then back as he was rounding 1st. The Detroit announcers made it seem like it was Kirk Gibson all over again. Using the words, "incredible", "unbelievable", and the phrase "can't believe my eyes". Granted I did not see everything, maybe if I had seen what you described, I would have felt different but these announcers are the single reason I can not tolerate the Tigers. Biggest homers on TV by far. Mario Impemba(PXP guy) even said "you want some, come get some". Really?

Miggy is great but the Tigers announcers are making me not like him(as much) or the team and its a good thing this isn't ESPN.

Not a Tigers fan....but it was baseball at it's best.

In kinda was incredible....not only did he hit the HR after two balls off his bat busted his leg....he clearly bailed his front foot out when he hit the game tying bomb.

Miggy is just the best. Maybe Prince can take some lessons from him and begin to hit the ball again, instead of just trying to tee off on every pitch

Yu has a no-no through 7 against the 'Stros. One walk in the sixth that got Pierzynski ejected.

First watch I thought it a ball. After reviewing in slow mo, might have caught the bottom half of the zone. Pierzynski is one of the biggest jackasses in all of the MLB.

This is hard for anyone to argue or even want to argue.....he's had a damn good career though.

He's without a doubt one of my least favorite players. Even ignoring his personality, though, I was ecstatic when he finally got out of our division. He used to eat us alive.

I know its Japanese ball but its getting the attention of major league players and the media that covers MLB.

As it says in the address, this is insane. Japanese kid who is only 16 and throws a 98MPH heater, is also throwing a ridiculous number of pitches. 700+ pitches in 5 games over 9 days including 13 innings pitched and 232 pitches thrown in 1 game? WTF? This kid is going to lose out on millions of dollars when his arm falls off. This tournament sounds like a huge deal(maybe an understatement), but as the article says, this is probably child abuse.

All you have to do is look at Tim "The Freak" Lincecum to realize that shit has evolved and the common way to rest an arm is the right way. Timmys rubber arm that doesnt need ice ever lasted a whole 4 years in the MLB.
