Fraud. Look at the schedule.

Navy...offense was one of the weakest in years. Could barely score on Army
Purdue..Next to Minnesota, the worst offense in the Big 10
Michigan State....Worst offense for Sparty in at least 10 years
Michigan.....decent offense
Miami...not very good this year
Stanford...Very average...they won games with their defense
BYU....worst offense for BYU....probably ever
Oklahoma... Landrey Jones played like a pig all year
Pitt...offense that scared nobody
Boston College...atrocious
Wake...worse than atrocious
Southern Cal...the loud mouthed freshman quarterback proved how horrible he is in their bowl game embarrassment.

Tonight they played a real offense....

ND played a very overrated schedule. The teams they played were horrible imo. You can tell me all you want about how they were ranked with strength of schedule.

........and ND almost lost to 4 of those teams. 3 in which were horrible teams (pitt, purdue and byu). They had no business being on the big stage.

I'll say this...the ND defense couldn't tackle for shit tonight and they lost the battle in the trenches. Defensive front 7 got owned by 'Bama. The whole D got owned but especially the front 7. Just disappointing.

This team was 2001 Nebraska, not 2002 Ohio State. Miami couldn't handle the Buckeyes front 7 and they had some serious players guys. I hate when these games are duds

Some of the BCS title games have been blowouts and hard to watch. USC vs OK, UF vs OSU, LSU vs Bama and ND vs Bama. Thats why we need a playoff. And not a 4 team playoff, a 8 team (or more) playoff.

Four is perfect IMO. Besides Notre Dame/Oregon and Florida/Alabama would have been pretty awesome, and then an Oregon/Alabama title

After UF's and ND's performance in bowl games? No.

Bama is obviously the better team, but I think one of the many ridiculous things about cfb is the 40+ days off between the end of the regular season and the NCG.

Can't be an excuse b/c both teams are to deal with it but I just think it adds to the unpredictability of the game and I'd be interested to see if the outcome of the game would be different without the long layoff.

100 percent agree with this. They need to have playoffs and only have 2 weeks off before title game. Even before this playoff system, they should have started seasons later or have the bowl games around Thanksgiving. The month off garbage is stupid and no team plays the same.

I think teo was the biggest fraud of them all. Maybe he was pressing trying to win that game. But if cant tackle guys that are gonna be nfl ballers in college, hes gonna be a big disappointment at the next level.

In my opinion, the layoff exposes how good your coaches are. Thats why im intrigued by what meyer can do. He always handled it better than tressel.

How many times has this happened to kelly? I never remember him coaching a bowl game, always leaving for another school.

If you dont give up a rushing TD all year, you are not a fraud.

That said, they were NOOOOO match for Bama last night. That was ugly.

He missed 2 tackles all year leading into the game last night, playing against some really good backs that will be "ballers" in the NFL. It also wasn't just him that missed tackles. Notre Dame was a very good tackling team all year, but did a horrible job of it last night. Lacy and Yeldon were a large part of that, but practice leading up to it contributed. Kelly said after the game they scaled down live hitting in practice to try to keep depth issues in check and will revisit that approach in the future.

Was surprised to hear Bama lineman Cyrus Kouandijo say this: "Manti Te'o, he's a man out there—the best I've ever gone against."

Te'o cost himself a lot of money last night. I was COMPLETELY unimpressed with him. Bama's second TD was Te'o's, and Te'o's alone, fault. The TE who caught the ball was his man/guy, and Te'o completely let him free. Also, Te'o was COMPLETELY out of position the ENTIRE night (now, to be fair, Bama's amazing O-Line was part of that/why).

Dude, the 2 missed tackles "stat" is crap. We've all seen what he is, a massively overrated LB. You put him against equal or better competition, he falters. why? Simply he's not that good. ESPN and NBC made him out to be someone he's not. If there was an National Championship for making faces for 4 quarters, he'd be the runaway winner. He's not on the level of Willis, Laurinaitis, Kuchely, Hightower, (ILB), etc. He's a 3rd rounder at best. His stock will drop even further at the combine as well. Dude is a fraud, just admit it.

Te'o is just another victim of the media hype machine.

He's a very solid player, but not as outstanding as he's made out to be. Musberger said he was one of the "most decorated players of all time"....lol...c'mon.

Do you realize what most decorated means?
