Risk taker

If you are an entrepreneur you’ve take some big risk, adventurous individuals (sky divers, mountain climbers, dirt bikers, hocking hill winter hiker) have taken some good risk. There are lots of types of risk taking scenario where dangerous, challenging and lose could be great.

Would you consider yourself a “risk taker”?
If so what is one of the more dicey/risky thing you have done?

I am not a risk taker in general. I do some small risk taking in terms of speaking my mind on certain matters and such. But as far as willfully doing something that exposes me to financial ruin, physical injury or death - that's not for me. I used to wish I was more of a risk taker, but it's just not how I'm wired.

I jumped off a bridge a few times. I wrecked four wheelers and dirt bikes more then I care to remember. Bungie jumped once and was going to sky dive but the plane that was taking us up broke while they were prepping us. We built rope bridges over a 100' ravine as kids and used to walk across while having rocks thrown at us. It was pretty stupid and dumb.

Not a risk taker in general...usually pretty conservative but I did sky dive at the age of 35, and will do so again.
Oh and the whole joining the Army at 37 was a little bit of a risk as well, but other than that I am as conservative as they come

I'm only a shy diver when I'm sober. Get me drunk and I'll go diving with a bunch of girls.

What others call an adventure I call stupidity.

There is a fine line between the two .... however "crazy" has to play a role somewhere.

I'll take risks when I think there's a reasonable chance of success.

My 401k is in the highest risk stocks we have available (because they have the best returns over long term) and it has fluctuated quite a bit. I'm not quite so risky in real life now that I'm a little older (maybe wiser) but I still do some things from time to time.
