Simple question: Who should be the 2012 NFL Rookie of the Year?

Andrew Luck - broke rookie passing yard record and turned a two win team into an 11 win playoff team
Russell Wilson - broke the rookie record for touchdown passes in a season and has the Seahawks in the playoffs (maybe as the scariest team to face right now)
RG3 - second highest rated QB in the NFL this year, 66% completion percentage, only 5 INT's, won arguably the toughest division in football
Alfred Morris - broke the rookie rushing record and Redskins single-season record with over 1,500 yards
Other (please name)

Thanks. Must have still been thinking about RG3 when I was typing his name. I fixed it.

Awesome year for stud rookies.

I'd like to see Wilson get it, but I think it's between Luck and Griffin. Luck will get it.

Maybe not simple? - I'd like to see Weeden win it, I think it's between Luck & Griffin, but I think Wilson SHOULD win it (based on all factors).

So automatic, who "Should" win it, as asked in the topic opener.

This is far from simple.

I think Luck is the least deserving.

I think Griffin helped Morris but Morris proved himself all year and especially when needed most.

Hard to go against Wilson.

I'd vote RG3, Wilson, Morris, Luck

Andrew Luck is my final answer. Sorry for being unclear.

My mancrush on Andrew Luck is well known, but Russell Wilson should be ROTY.

A great case could be made for any of those 4. I think it goes to RGIII due to the hype. I would personally give it to Wilson. Seahawks are the most dangerous of those teams.

It's going to be Wilson and RGIII in a photo finish as they statistically had probably the 2 best rookie seasons ever for a QB and both of their teams are going to the playoffs.

Luck finishes a close 3rd, but was a notch below both those guys big time in terms of his efficiency. He also finished way behind both in rushing yards, which is a dimension that gets consideration for the other 2.

Since all 3 of them saw their teams make the playoffs you have to default to who had the best statistical season and that was Wilson.

Tell you what though, Pete Carroll is going to need to get himself a wheel barrow to carry his nuts around in because it took some serious brass to start a 3rd round draft pick rookie QB who was considered too small when the team had just spent big money on Matt Flynn in free agency.

The guy basically put his career on the line for believing in Russel because had that gone badly Carroll would be done. Not sure many coaches would put themselves out there like that, but lucky for him Wilson made him look like a genius.

Luck. Turned around a terrible team. Led, I believe, seven fourth quarter comebacks. Luck did the most with the least amount of talent around him.

Colts just needed a qb. They won 11 or 12 games 2 years ago so it's not like they don't have talent.

Yeah, if Manning played last year they make the playoffs. They had players in place.

Morris: In many years he very well could/should win it. BUT he is on the team with another rookie, RGIII, that really did live up to unbelievable hype! I like RGIII but figured no way he could live up to it so quickly.

Russell: No one expected him to even be starting. Playing in Seattle will probably hurt his chances.

Luck: Great season. Record setting season for a QB. Completio percentage a bit low, and threw 18 INT's to 28 TD's. He, like RGII, lived up to the hype as a rookie. Team sucked last year but I dont think they were as bad as their record was...but still only had 2 wins I think. Lead alot of comebacks.L

RGIII: 20-5 ratio on TD/INT, and he ran the ball effectively. 27 Total TD's rushing and passing.

If I had a vote i would have to go for RGIII.

Thing is........in most other seasons each one could have been a runaway choice to win MVP.

Cannot really go wrong with any of them to be honest, and the NFL is in a great place to have that many rookies play so well.

I think you're confusing talent for how good Peyton Manning is, however, they did have Garcon and Addai to go with Reggie Wayne. Manning made Tamme and Blair White pretty good to.
