He acts like he's done it before....which of course....he has. You'll never see a 15 yard unsportmanlike conduct penalty after his td returns.

A class act all the way.

He's a very pleasant contrast to the ostentatious displays and attempts at attention grabbing by some other players after they make a big play. ( see Chad Ochoasshole). I hope the Browns treat him well and renegotiate his contract.

The man is one of the top talents in the league, period. Give him his money. And yes, he does have class as well.

Royal...I think JC will get plenty of money in his next contract. He would be wise in taking out a Lloyds of London insurance policy on getting hurt. I think he will command a 5 year 35 million dollar deal.

Normally I think that when you sign a contract, you play for the length of the contract and you recieve the money stated in the contract. This is one case where the player deserves a new contract. He has earned a large raise and should get a new contract before the Super Bowl.

He'll get paid at the end of the season once Holmgren and the new GM get settled in.

He is a beast and will continue to get better as they use him in the wildcat.

With the wildcat and covering kicks, not to mention he is the best return man in football.....yeah, give him 7 mil a year.

So like 10 snaps a game on offense +returning the ball=7 mill a year?

If they ran the wildcat as often as Miami with Ronnie Brown then sure, pay him like hes a huge contributor. But 10 snaps a game or less in the wildcat and returning kicks shouldnt be worth 7mill. I think the reason fans want to pay him so much is bc hes the only bright spot on the team and is made look that much better by how god awful the rest of the team performed this year lol.

You must not watch any Browns games. If they kick to him.....he makes things happen. If they don't, they start their drives at the 40. He is a game changer in every sense of the word. As bad as they are, they wouldn't have 3 wins without him. As they implement the wildcat more....they will get their 7 mil worth.

He is one of the most talented and feared players in the league, period. You must not watch many Browns games or you would see this.

My coworker and I have come up with a new offensive formation. Line up your punter as the deep snapper and have him quick kick it to Cribbs who is lined up 20 yards behind center. Browns score everytime....

Cribbs has done everything that the fans, the team, the coaches, and the front office have asked of him...and then some.

If anyone in football deserves a renegotiated contract, it's Josh Cribbs. He is the best in the league at what he does, he plays hard and never complains, the fans love him and he loves Cleveland and wants to stay here. If Lerner can't see all of this and want to make him happy, he has no business being an NFL owner. This is the kind of guy that you bend the rules for.

Return man and wildcat runner...given that he's the best return man ever, I'd say he's worth the money.

My sentiments as well. W/out Cribbs...this team would either be 1-13 or 0-14...can't remember what he did in the Buffalo game.

Josh Cribbs is >>>>> Devin Hester.

Dude has the NFL record for KR TD's and they also showed a stat last night, that with a minimum of 80 carries in terms of rushing the ball, he's got the 5th highest average EVER after contact. Something like a 6 yard average? It's ridiculous. He'll be implemented more into the offense, not only at WR, but also in the Wildcat and he'll probably see some traditional carries at RB as well...

Yes, he's worth 7 million a year, easily.

IF they use him more than 10 snaps a game, he'd be worth that amount, but not as things typically go.

I'd prefer (and I'm betting he will, too) they give him a nice $10 mil bonus and extend him a few years, while bumping his annual salary up to $1 or $1.5 mil per year. That way he gets the bucks up front, it can be amortized over the length of the contract, and he doesn't have to worry about playing 7 years to collect most of the money.

LTrain...my brother says make Cribbs the feature back and be done with it. As appealing as that sounds...he could not do both. I think he's more valuable as a return man and wildcat runner.

I do think that he should be utilized more in the cat...and should have more rollout pass run options. True, it did not work yesterday (incomplete pass) but talk about giving a defense nightmares.

The pass didn't work yesterday, but it could have been caught for a TD.

So what if he has the NFL kick off return record? He has 1 less return TD then Hester(11-10)

And hes also accountable for much less offensive yards then hester, if he was featured pay him. If not.....dont break bank for a gunner/return man
